Waffle Flower Glimmering & Christmas┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a holiday season’s set of inspiration cards with an extra “Glimmering” look showcasing some of the hot foil plates and dies from the Christmas In July Release by Waffle Flower Crafts. Along with them, I used some of the beautiful glimmer hot foil rolls by Spellbinders and the must-have Solid Hot Foil Plate by Pinkfresh Studio for the reverse hot foil stamping so, without further ado let’s jump right in to the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I made a clean and simple, yet extra glimmered Thank You card so, to do it, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done using, Scattered Stars Foil Plate and Oversized Thank You Foil Plate along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. The hues, I used to do the hot foil stamping were Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Red and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Crimson Stars. As, for the papers, I used a combination of pieces from Glimmer Specialty Cardstock and Hammermill Cardstock.

Once, I had gotten the hot foil stamping done, I went ahead to trim down a small front card panel from the hot foil stamped scattered stars design and then, I got its backing adhered with double-sided to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I used the coordinating Oversized Thank You Matching Die to cut out the hot foil stamped sentiment from the cardstock plus, a few extras from plain white cardstock to add dimension. Then, after getting the die-cutting step for for it, I proceeded to get stacked over and then, after adding the dimension to it, I got it gluing down to the front card panel finishing off the first example with a slightly monochromatic look.

For the second example, I made another clean and simple card but this time with a holiday look using Outlined Pine Tree Foil Plate and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Viridian Green hue for the hot foil stamping step. Next, after getting the hot foil stamping done, I used the largest die included in Fancy Frames Die to cut out and add the fancy details to the edges of the card front panel and then, I proceeded to get its backing adhere it with doubled-sided adhesive to an A2 size side folding white card base.

Once, I had the front card panel adhered to its card base, I went ahead to finish the card off by mounting a stamped and heat embossing Merry Christmas sentiment on the lower right side of the card. By the way, for the card sentiment, I used one of the sentiments from Cozy Holiday Sentiments. And, as usual for the stamping and heat embossing, I used Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, Embossing Ink, Magic Powder Bag and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool. That being said, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add a touch of sparkle by gluing down here and there some crystal sequins.

For the third example, I used Ornaments Background Foil Plate along with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Green however, I decided to use the reverse hot foil stamped image for the card background instead so, to do the reverse hot foil stamping, I used Solid Hot Foil Plate and once, I had the hot foil stamping and the reverse hot foil stamping as well, I proceed to trim down the card panel to an A2 size and then, I got its backing adhered double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base using double-sided adhesive.

Once, I had that step completed, I used Pine Branch Panel Die to add an extra holiday white frame look to this card so, to do that, I went ahead to cut out the pine branch frame twice from white cardstock and then, I got them layered over to add dimension. Lastly, to add even more dimension to the frame, I went ahead to get it adhered over the front card panel using Foam Strips and then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add its sentiment. Thus, for the sentiment, I used another of the sentiments included in the same stamp set.

Lastly for the last example, I went ahead to use the reverse hot foil stamped background same as I did for the previous example. That being said, for this example, I used Random Dots Foil Plate and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Starburst hue.

Thus, after getting the hot foil stamping done, I went ahead to trim down the full A2 size card panel and then, I got its backing adhered to an A2 size side folding white card base using double-sided adhesive.

Then, as simple as that, I continued to finish the card off by getting mounted the oversized die-cutting Merry Christmas sentiment over the center of the card using craft foam adhesive to add dimension to it. By the way, for the card sentiment, I used Oversized Merry Christmas Print along with white and foiled cardstock.

With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this holiday season’s set of inspiration cards with an extra “Glimmering” look showcasing some of the hot foil plates and dies from the Christmas In July Release by Waffle Flower Crafts.
