Spellbinders CSOM + CDOM SEP-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspiration set of cards with a “Gnomie and Fall” look featuring: "Fall Gnomes" SEP-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. Along with this month’s clear stamp & die of the month club, I used Small Die of the Month Club, Embossing Folder of the Month Club and Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Club all clubs mentioned above by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by getting the stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock. So, to do that, I went ahead to place the cardstock piece inside my MISTI Stamp Tool and then, I proceeded to lay down over it each stamp image, to get them stamped twice using Detail Black Ink. I did this step twice to get a better impression. Next, right after that I had gotten the stamping done, I used some alcohol markers in Orange, Red Gray and Navy hues to add a pop of color to each stamped image and once, I had finished adding the pops of colors, I kept going to use their coordinating dies along with Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut out each colored image from the cardstock piece.

Soon after that I had finished the die-cutting step, I put the die-cutting images aside to get the card assembling started so, to do that first, I went ahead to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side of an A2 size white card panel using, my Paper Trimmer and, once I had that done, I proceeded to get the backing of it adhered to an A2 size side folding white card base in a landscaping form. Secondly, I went ahead to create a Fall layout over the front card panel using the die-cutting pieces and once I had them into place, I used a combination of liquid glue and dimensional to get them glue down over the card panel. Lastly, I went ahead to complete the Gnomie Fall design over the card by getting a sentiment stamped over the upper left side of it. Then, to finish the card off, I added here and there some Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems to add a little touch of shine to the card.

For the second example, I made another clean and simple design with another Gnomie Fall look. So, to make this card, I went ahead to use some of the stamp images from the same stamp set and then, I used their coordinating dies to cut them out from the cardstock.

Next, I went ahead to trim off 1/2 of an inch from an A2 size white card panel and then, I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. Then, for the card focal point, along with the stamped and die-cutting images, I used as well, some of the solid fall leaves that I cut out from a water-colored piece using the outlined dies included in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club. Then, to complete the card sentiment, I also used, the Hello sentiment included in the small die of the month club and, once I had the layered sentiment cut out from white and gold cardstock, I added to this card as well, some of the gems that I used in the previous example to add it an extra touch of shine.

For the last example, I used Essential Diamonds Etched Dies to cut out the diamond shape from gold and white cardstock. Then, I used one of the card sentiments included in the stamp set to get the sentiment stamped and heat embossing in the center of the diamond shape. By the way, for the stamping and heat embossing, I used Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink, Magic Powder Bag, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool.

Moving on, to keep going with the Fall look design for this handmade card set, I used this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Club along with Glimmer Hot Foil System and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold to create the Fall frame. Also, I used this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club to add texture to an A2 size white card panel. Having that said, after getting all steps completed for the layout pieces, I went ahead to trim down 1/4 of an inch from the textured white card panel to create the white border. Once, I had gotten the textured card panel adhered to the card, I proceeded to get the card assembling over the front card panel in the way that you are seeing it in the image above. And, finally to finish it off, I decided to skip the gems to let the shine from the hot foil stamping stand out.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of cards with a “Gnomie and Fall” look featuring: "Fall Gnomes" SEP-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club.
