TT Pretty Peacock Stamp & Crafting Dies┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog post, I’d like to share with you this “You Color my World” card that, I made with Pretty Peacock Stamp Set and Pretty Peacock Crafting Dies by Technique Tuesday from their Animal House collection. So, without further ado let’s jump to the step by step on how-to-make it↓

To begin with, I started by placing inside my stamping tool a Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Paper card panel. Next, I placed the Peacock image from the Pretty Peacock Stamp over the card panel, and I’ve got it stamp with Detail Black Ink.

Right after the stamping, I removed the card panel from my stamping tool and I water-colored the image with a combination of; Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Turquoise hues.

So, after the water-coloring was finish, I set the card panel aside to dry and I started to create the pattern for the actual card panel. To create the card panel, I placed over an acrylic block the You Color My Word sentiment from the stamp then, I added lots of Embossing Powder Tool over an A2 white card panel, and I stamped the sentiment with WOW! Embossing Ink multiple times until I got the pattern created over the card panel.

Therefore, I covered the stamping with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder, and I heat set the powder with my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted. Lastly, I trimmed the edges down from the card panel slightly smaller than the card base, and I mounted it over an A2 side-folding white card base with craft foam and double-sided tape.

Finally, to finish the card off, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the coordinated die along with the water-colored image to die-cut it out from the card panel. So, after I had the die-cutting Peacock done, I mounted it with square adhesives to add dimension (as shown in the images above) followed by the sentiment which, I also had white heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock. To add shine, I coated with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen the Peacock and I added Glossy Accent to the center of each feather. Last but not least, I glued down here and there a few green sequins for an extra touch of shine. With that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “You Color my World” card showcasing the; Pretty Peacock Stamp Set and Pretty Peacock Crafting Dies sets by Technique Tuesday.
