Technique Tuesday DEC19 Bowl Bouquet Stamp & Die Greeting Cards

Technique Tuesday DEC19 Bowl Bouquet Stamp & Die Greeting Cards

Happy Wednesday, crafters! On today’s blog, I’d like to share 2 cards that, I made featuring the new Greenhouse Society called Bowl Bouquet Stamp and Bowl Bouquet Crafting Die from the new December release by Technique Tuesday so, without further ado, please keep reading below ↓

To begin with, I started by positioning a Strathmore Watercolor Card Stock panel on my stamping tool. Next, I positioned the floral image from the Bowl Bouquet Stamp on one of the sides of the card panel because, I was going to rotate it so, I could stamp a second image on the other side of it for the second card which, you’ll see below.

Once, the stamp was positioned where I wanted it, I treated the card panel with Embossing Powder Tool and, I stamped the images 2X as, I mentioned earlier with Embossing Ink. Right after the stamping, I added Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder and, I heat set the powder with the Heat Embossing Gun Tool until was completely melted. As soon as the heat embossing part was done, I taped down the card panel to a clipboard with masking tape and, I water colored the flowers with Peach & Pink hues. As, for the leaves, I mixed a bit of warm Green to water color them in. Last but certainly not least, for the water and jar, I watercolor them with a mix of Light Blue and a touch of Light Gray for shadowing, nothing complicated as I kept the water coloring pretty simple as always. (By the way, I used Genuine Crafts Watercolor Brush Pens for today’s water coloring.) Lastly, after the water coloring process, I set the card panel aside to dry. In the meanwhile, I inked it up 2 white card panels using; Blush Pink Ink for the inking and, the Nautical Stripes Stencil to slightly create a pattern on both white card panels once, both card panels were inked up, I trimmed the edges off from each of them leaving them at the measure of H 5.0’’ X W3 3/4’’. After trimming them off, I adhered the backing of one of them with double-sided tape to a top folding Kraft card base and, the other to one side folding Kraft base.

So, after the card bases were done and the water coloring was dry, I ran through the die-cutting machine the watercolor images along with the Bowl Bouquet Crafting Die Set to die-cut the flowers out the card panel as well as out of fun foam. As, for the sentiment, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Friend dies that comes in the same set to, die-cut it out of gold card stock. I also, die-cut the Friend word out fun foam for dimension. To finish the cards off, I adhered the backing of the flowers with liquid glue to the portrait card base as well as the stacked Friend word and, I gold heat set a sentiment underneath the Friend. As, for the landscape card, I stacked the floral image with the fun foam, and I adhered the backing of it to the card. For the sentiment, I simply gold heat embossed 2 of the sentiments that, are also included in the stamp set. As, a finishing touch, I adhered a few Jewels Mix to the portrait card and Shimmering Iced Fusion Sequins to the landscaping. To add even more sparkle, I added Glossy Accent to the center of each flower and, I sprinkled Fairy Tale Embossing Glitter.
So, that’s all for today friends, I hope these cards inspire you to give these designs a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
