Spellbinders Stitched Alphabet Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate and intricate set of inspiration cards with an “Encouragement & Hand-Stitched” look showcasing the latest: Stitched Alphabet Collection by Spellbinders. This collection includes the entire 26 alphabet and the ampersand punctuation and each letter die includes its outline shape die as well. Also, along with the alphabet letters this collection has Stitched Alphabet Glimmer Descriptors Hot Foil Plates and Stitched Alphabet Note Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plates to compliment the card sentiments. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

To begin with, I started off lining up each inner alphabet letter die over pieces of white cardstock and then, I proceeded to cut them all 26 letters along with the ampersand punctuation out from it by running them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I repeated this step a few more times to cut out extra die-cutting letters for a layering purpose. Next, as soon as, I had finished cutting them all, I went ahead to layer them over for a sturdy look.

Moving on, after getting them layer over, I went ahead to select some of them to create the Loved word with them and then, I put the rest aside. Meanwhile, I used a combination of embroidery floss in a modern rainbow spectrum along with an embroidery needle to add the hand-stitching touch to them. Thus, once I had gotten finished adding that to them, I went ahead to layer them over to their outlined die-cutting layers; layers which, I had gotten previously cutting out from white cardstock as well.

Lastly, right after that I had gotten layer them all up to their outlined layer, I went ahead to create a slimline size card with them. So, to make the card first, I went ahead to carefully glue down a die-cutting front card panel with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to a slimline size white card base for an intricate white-on-white look. By the way, I used Blossoming Slimline Etched Dies to cut out the panel from the white cardstock. Second, I got the alphabet letters glue down to the card to create the dimensional Loved word. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to complete the card by adding a hot foil stamped sentiment which, I had gotten done over a white strip of cardstock using one of the glimmering plates included in Stitched Alphabet Glimmer Descriptors Hot Foil Plates. As for the hot foil stamping process, I used Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Matte Gold and my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform.

Next, for the second example, I made a standard A2 size card in a landscaping shape. Thus, to begin with, I started off by cutting out the front card panel from white cardstock using the two large dies included in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to cut out the frame from in and to add the dotted detail as well.

That being said, after getting the card panel cut out from the white cardstock, I went ahead to line up the floral cluster that I created previously using Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies. Besides that, I went ahead to the alphabet X letter over the floral cluster right in the center of the card but, without adding any adhesive to them since, I wanted to add the hot foil stamping sentiment directly to the front card panel before getting anything adhered down to it.

As for the sentiment, I used a glimmer plate included in the same set and the same foil color. So, as soon as had finished adding the hot foil stamping to the lower side of the card panel, I went ahead to glue down the floral cluster along with the dimensional and layered letter X with the hand-stitching touch to the card panel and then, I got the card finish off by getting the backing of the panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size side folding white card base.

Moving on, for the last example, I made a cleaner and simpler looking card yet with the same dimension as the previous examples. Thus, to make this card, I went ahead to use one of the old dies by Spellbinders to cut the white frame from white cardstock and to add the delicate and intricate die-cutting touch to the corners of it as well.

Next, right after that I had gotten adding the die-cutting touch to the card panel, I went ahead to line up the die-cutting floral cluster that I had gotten previously created out gold cardstock using the outer die from Magnolia Blooms Etched Dies and the dimensional and layered G alphabet letter with the hand-stitching touch just in the same way as, I did in the previous example; to line up over the card panel the two glimmer plates that, I was going to use to create the card sentiment for this card.

Lastly, as soon as, I had finished adding the hot foil stamping sentiments to the card panel, I went ahead to glue down everything to it and then followed by that, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base. As, you can see, I created a modern You are Golden sentiment. Also, I decided to skip any embellishments on each card to let their dimensional and intricate looks stand out and their hand-stitching and colors pop even more.
