Spellbinders Just Wanted to Say Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very decorative and delicate set of inspiration cards with a “Leafy & Hand-Stitching” look plus, with an extra glimmering and shaker touch showcasing the latest; Just Wanted to Say Collection by Spellbinders which includes: Wreath Builder Etched Dies, Stitched Hi Etched Dies, and Just Wanted To Say Collection Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I made a square card with a wreath look using the dies included in Wreath Builder Etched Dies. Thus, I went ahead to use each die included in the set over pieces of different Green hues and then, I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut out the greenery from each hue. Then, I went ahead to line up the other dies over pieces of some of the hues included in Boho - Smooth Cardstock Paper Pad to cut out the flowers from each hue that I selected from the paper pad. As for the Green hues, I used a combination of Spellbinders Cardstock and TSM Cardstock.

Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished die-cutting all pieces for the wreath, I went ahead to put them aside and then, I proceeded to cut out the front card panel for the card. So, to do that, I went ahead to trim down a white card panel to 4 x 4 inches using my Paper Trimmer. Having that said, after I got it trimmed down, I’ve gone ahead to line up over it the second larger circle die included in Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies to cut out the circle window. Next, right after that I had gotten die-cutting the circle window from it, I went ahead to get a piece of acetate adhered to the back side of the circle window using Clear Double Sided Adhesive Roll - 1/4 Inch and then, I flipped it over to start the wreath assembling around the circle window.

So, to create the wreath, I went ahead to carefully glue down each die-cutting piece using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. Once, I had gotten the wreath assembling completed, I proceeded to add dimension to it by gluing down extra die-cutting flowers and then, I added pieces of Double Sided Adhesive Foam Roll 1'‘ to the backing of the card panel to raise dimension to it. Thus, after adding dimension to it, I went ahead to get it mounted over a stenciled card background on which I had added a combination of glitter and gold sequins as the shaker elements. That being said, for the card background, I used an ink blending brush along with Coastal ink and Sun Burst Stencil. Lastly, I went ahead to use my Permanent Tape Runner to get the backing of the shaker panel adhered to a 4-1/4 x 4+1/4 white card base. And then to finish the card off, I added the card sentiments to the center of the wreath. Sentiments, which I had gotten previously hot foil stamped using some of the glimmer plates included in Just Wanted To Say Glimmer Hot Foil Plate along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura and Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform for the hot foil stamping process.

Moving on, as soon as, I had gotten the first card finished , I’ve gone ahead to create a standard A2 size card s, to do that, I went ahead to create the focal point first. Thus, for the focal point, I went ahead to line up the stitched dies included in Stitched Hi Etched Dies to cut out the top layer for the large hi twice from white cardstock. Once, I had that done, I proceeded to layer both white die-cutting pieces over and then, I got the hand-stitching for them started. Therefore, for the hand-stitching details, I used the six strand DMC Floss from in Aqua hue along with one of DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needles.

So, right after that I had gotten finished adding the hand-stitching details to it, I’ve gone ahead to cut the outlined layer. As, for the outlined layer, I went ahead to get it cut out from white and gold cardstock to create a gold shadow just as, you can see in the image above. That said, I went ahead to layer the hand stitched pieces over the layered outlined pieces and then, I put it aside to create the front card panel along with the extra die-cutting pieces.

For the front card panel, I used Simply Perfect Florets Embossing Folder to add texture to it. Next, I got 1/4 of an inch trim off from each side of the card panel and then, I got the backing of it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base. Followed by that, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the die-cutting pieces that I had gotten left-over from the previous example and then, I got thee card finish off by gluing down over the greenery the dimensional and hand-stitched hi. Last but certainly not least, I went ahead to also added a hot foil stamped sentiment to the lower left side of the card. By the way, for the sentiment, I used one of the glimmer plates included in the same set that I used in the previous example.

Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down some Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to the center of the flowers for both examples. Also, I got glue down tiny jewels to the hand-stitched image for an extra pop of sparkle. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this decorative and delicate set of inspiration cards with a “Leafy & Hand-Stitching” look and, with an extra glimmering and shaker touch showcasing the latest; Just Wanted to Say Collection by Spellbinders.
