Spellbinders JULY 2021 Clubs Inspiration┃Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome! Today, I’m honored for joining Spellbinders for their July 2021 Clubs Kit Inspiration Blog Hop! Throughout the hop, you’ll see amazing projects created by many talented designers showcasing this month’s Club Kits. So therefore, to get you inspired I will be sharing this delicate mini slimline “Happy Birthday” card showcasing this month’s Large Die of the Month. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started off by creating the mini slimline card base for the card, so to do that, I started by trimming off a large piece of white cardstock that measured H 6-1/4’’ x W 3-1/4’’ inches using my Comfort Paper Trimmer. Next, I went ahead to fold the card base in half using my scoring board tool and Teflon bone-folder, and once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to set the card base aside.

Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up over pieces of white cardstock each die including in this month’s Large Die of the Month club and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, as soon as I’ve had finished die-cutting each detailed panel out of the cardstock, I went ahead to start the layout for the card by adhering down each card panel over the card base using double-sided and craft foam adhesives, adding that way a bit of dimension between layers (as you can see in the image above.)

Thus, after I’ve had finished the layering for the card front panel, I’ve gone ahead to use the smaller die and the insert die including in this month’s large die of the month to die-cut the Happy Birthday sentiment for the card out of gold cardstock. So, as soon as I had finished die-cutting the sentiment, I went ahead to adhering it down using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue over the card as well. Lastly, to embellish the card, I went ahead to create 2 small floral clusters by die-cutting some flowers using the flower die including in this month’s Small Die of the Month along with Lilac Blossom Cardstock and Royal Amethyst Cardstock. I also used some leaves from the die cut shapes including in this month’s Card Kit of the Month as well as some greenery which I die-cut them out of Rainforest Cardstock using one of the dies including in the large die of the month.

Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to adhere down here and there some gems using Crystal Mix Color Essentials Gems to add a pop of shine and then, I also used the envelope die including in this month’s large die of the month to create the mini slimline envelope for the card.
With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I made this hand-stitched “Happy Birthday” card showcasing this month’s Large Die of the Month Club.
