Circle Snowflake Shaker and Christmas Tree┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! Last week I shared my first set of holiday cards, so on today’s blog, I’d like to share with you my second set of “Holiday” inspiration cards made using; Circle Snowflake Shaker Die, Nesting Stitched Circles Die, Nesting Stitched Squares Die, Slimline Christmas Tree Die, Small Snowflakes Die, Background Stencil Trio 1 Bundle and Cozy Holiday Sentiments from the latest Christmas in July release by Waffle Flower. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the largest die from Nesting Stitched Squares Die and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. This die cut both inner and outer stitching pieces once the square are die-cut out of the cardstock. Thus, as soon as I had them both die-cut out of the cardstock, I went ahead to adhere down the outer die-cutting square frame over a 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” inches square white card base using 1/8’’ double-sided adhesive.

Thus, as soon as I had finished adhering the square stitching frame to the card base, I went ahead to inlay the inner square to it using craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add dimension. And, once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to set the card base aside and then, I’ve gone ahead to repeat the same step to die-cut a stitching die-cutting circle using an A2 size white card panel along with the largest die from Nesting Stitched Circles Die. So, as soon as I had that step completed, I went ahead to mount the inner die-cutting circle over the card using more craft foam and double-sided adhesive to continue the layout for the card.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished mounting the die-cutting circle to the card, I went ahead to set it off aside and then, I kept going to die-cut the circle snowflake shaker out of white cardstock and out of Waterfall Cardstock using the Circle Snowflake Shaker Die. Therefore, as soon as I’ve had finished die-cutting both snowflake circles, I went ahead to create a shaker focal point with them by adhering pieces of acetate and by filling up the center of it with shaker bits. As you can see in the image above, I created an illusion of a blue shadow as well by slightly off-setting them when I’ve got them glue down.

Having that said, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down the circle snowflake shaker focal point over the card and then, to add a bit more fluff to it, I went ahead to glue down a few more die-cutting snowflakes around the circle using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. Snowflakes, which I’ve had previously die-cut out of white cardstock using the dies from Small Snowflakes Die. Last but certainly not least, I’ve gone ahead to get mounted the sentiment for the card right in the center of the shaker circle. A sentiment, which I’ve had stamped and heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments from Cozy Holiday Sentiments. Then, to add shine to the card, I went ahead to glue down here and there some gold jewels as well.

For the second example, I created a very dimensional snowflake card using the left-over die-cutting pieces from the previous example, so to do that, I went ahead to mount the backing of the light blue card panel using craft foam adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base.

Next, I turned upside down the white card panel on which I’ve had die-cutting the circle snowflake shaker and then, I’ve gotten it adhere down with craft foam adhesive over the blue card panel.

Then, I went ahead to mount the backing of the white card panel to the card, the white panel on which I’ve had die-cutting the stitching circles using craft foam adhesive as well to add even more dimension.

Lastly, I went ahead to get the stamping and gold heat embossing for the card sentiment in the center of the card using one of the sentiments from the same stamp set that I used in the previous example and then, to finish the card off I went ahead to glue down some white die-cutting snowflakes along with some light blue jewels to add an extra touch of shine!

For the last example, I created a clean and simple slimline card, yet with an extra touch of sparkle. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to line up the largest die from Slimline Christmas Tree Die over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through the die-cut machine.

Next, as soon as I had the die-cutting panel done, I went ahead to line up the Christmas tree die over the upper side of the card panel and then, I went ahead to run them through the die-cut machine. This die, cut a positive and negative pieces in one cut, so I went ahead to poke the positive pieces out leaving only the negative stitching die-cutting details over the card panel (as shown in the image above.)

As, I was thinking about to create a shaker card with this design, I went ahead to create a card background, so to do that, I went ahead to trim off a piece of light blue cardstock and then, I added white stripes to it by inking it up the card panel with an ink blending brush along with one of the stencils including in Background Stencil Trio 1 Bundle and Unicorn Pigment Ink. Therefore, after I’ve had created the background panel, I’ve gone ahead to get the assembling for the shaker card using the die-cutting pieces along with a piece of acetate and shaker bits and glitter from my stash. And, as simple as that, I finished the card off by mounting a sentiment, which I’ve had previously stamp and gold heat emboss on a smaller die-cutting white piece, which I created out of white cardstock using one of the smaller dies including in the set.
