Spellbinders DOMAPG MAR-2022┃Happy Anniversary Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you an elegant “Happy Anniversary” inspiration card made with a delicate and intricate shape using, “Bella Ovalette” MAR-2022 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month includes twelve cutting dies that add up elegant die-cutting touches to any occasion card really. Thus, to for today’s example, I created a 5X7 Anniversary card so, to do that, I went ahead to cut 2 large pieces fro an 8.5x 11 white cardstock sheet and then, I proceeded to line up over one of them the largest die including in the kit. Next, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut out from it once the bottom and the second time, to cut out from it the top layer to create the shaped card base.

Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished cutting them out, I’ve gone ahead to line up the same die once again over a large piece of gold cardstock, but this time, I added the insert die that add up the intricate details to it. In the same way, after cutting out the large layer panel, I went ahead to use the rectangle die along with its insert die to cut out a detailed white panel as well. Next, I went ahead to cut out the third layer from gold cardstock using the other layered die and last but not least, I used the next layered dies to cut out the smaller detailed white card panel.

Having that being said, after getting the die-cutting process done, I went ahead to get the top part of the card assembled by layering over all die-cutting pieces using a combination of craft foam adhesive and liquid glue and then, I put it off to the side while I’ve gone ahead to create the pop-up element to add it an easel effect as well.

So, to do that, I went ahead to trim down a piece of white cardstock using my Comfort Paper Trimmer to H 3.0” x W 5.0” inches. Next, I placed the cardstock piece over my Scoring Board with the larger width in a landscaping form to add up to it some scoring lines using the standard Teflon bone folder from Craft Treat Teflon Bone Folder at 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 inches marks. Therefore, after adding the scoring lines to it, I went ahead to get them fold over and then, I’ve got the ends adhered one on top of the other using strong double-sided adhesive, to create the pop-up effect just like you see it in the image above. Lastly, I went ahead to get the bottom part from the pop-up effect adhered in the center of the bottom layer of the card using double-sided adhesives but leaving 7/8 of an inch space from the edge towards the inside of it. Also, to complete the easel effect, I went ahead to trim down a smaller piece of white cardstock to W 2-1/2 x 1-1/4” inches and then, I’ve got added two scoring lines at 1/2 and 1-1/2 inches marks. Finally, I’ve got adhered the smaller fold to the back of the pop-up effect and then, I folded over the pop-up element towards to the inside of the card but making sure the end of the smaller cardstock piece was facing up to get the top layered base of the card adhered over it, to create the full easel effect or fun fold if you will.

Once, I’ve had finished adding the easel effect to it, I’ve gone ahead to make the card sentiment so to do that, I used one of the sentiments including in Garden Favorites Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to get it stamped and gold heat embossing over a small piece of white cardstock, a cardstock which I got trimmed down and mounted with square foam adhesives to add dimension in the inner center of the card base just like you sees it in the image above.

Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use the smaller dies including in the kit, to cut out a flowers and some leaves from gold and pink cardstock. As, you can see, after die-cutting them out, I’ve gone ahead to layer them over, to get adhered the smaller cluster that I created with them over the center of the card.

Finally, I decided to add an extra pop of sparkle to the card, so to do that, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the Rhinestones - Sunlight Gold. And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this elegant “Happy Anniversary” inspiration card with a delicate and intricate shape using, “Bella Ovalette” MAR-2022 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month by Spellbinders.
