Leafy Decor, Floral Greeting Cards

Leafy Decor, Floral Greeting Cards

Hi, Friends! I hope you’re having a fabulous day! Today, I’d like to share with you the cards that I’ve create featuring the new; Leafy Decor Stamp Set & Leafy Decor Die Set along with the Sentiment Suite: You from the January’s Release by Pinkfresh Studio. They were simple to make as, they only required a minimum amount of watercoloring and a few die-cut pieces So, without further ado, please keep on reading below ↓

To begin with, I started by stamping with Embossing Ink on a large piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock the large image from the Leafy Decor Stamp Set. Once images were stamped, I covered the entire images with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and, I heat set them until the powder was completely melted. Soon after the heat embossing, I taped down the piece of cardstock to a clipboard with masking tape because, I was going to watercolor the images. For the watercoloring part, I used a mix of colors that, I created using primary colors from the Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolor Collection. (I won’t stop to explain the colors as, this blog post isn’t about watercoloring but, if you want to know more details about the colors please, let me know in the comment section below.) So, right after the watercoloring, I set the watercolor pieces aside to let them dry.

In the meanwhile, I ran through the die-cut machine the Geo Floral Background Die and Geo Leaf Background Die to die-cut each of them out white cardstock. Also, I ran through the die-cut machine the Sentiment Suite: You to die-cut its shadow layer out of vellum and its top layer 1X out of gold cardstcok and 1X out white fun foam. Lastly, in a small piece of white cardstock, I gold heat embossed 2 sentiments from included in the stamp set, and I trimmed down with the paper trimmer. By the time that I was done doing that, my watercoloring was dry so, I went ahead and ran through the die-cut machine the images along with the Leafy Decor Die Set. To finish the card off, I adhered one of the die-cutting backgrounds to an A2 top folding white card base followed by one of the Leafy die-cutting pieces. As, you can see above, I stacked the layers for the You and, I adhered to the left lower side of the card along with one of the sentiments.

For the second card, I adhered the second background die-cut piece to an A2 top folding white card base. To give this card a different look, I decided to foam mounted the Leafy image for a very dimensional look also, by changing its position.

Finally, to finish the card off, I embellished the image by adding a touch of gold with a bow that I created out a large piece of metallic thread. Last but not least, I adhered the sentiment in the right lower side of the card panel.

Even though, it’s hard to capture in photography, I’d like to mention that I added lots of shine to the leaves by adding a touch of metallic gold watercolor over them.

That’s all for today friends as, you can see in the picture above, I added a last touch to the cards by adhering some crystal clear jewels from the Crystal Mix here and there for a touch of sparkle. I hope these cards inspire you to give them a try! Below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
