Double Chevron┃Slimline Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today, I’d like to share with you this textured “Double Chevron” Slimline card made with Double Chevron Layering Stencil Set along with Floral Notes Stamp Set, Floral Notes Coordinating Die and Floral Notes Coordinating Stencil Set all by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado keep on reading the step-by-step for how I made it.

To begin with, I’ve started by layering the ticker chevron design stencil from Double Chevron Layering Stencil Set over a large piece of heavy weight Pink cardstock. Next, I went ahead to secure the backing of the stencil along with the cardstock with 2 large pieces of washitape. Then, I went ahead to add texture to the cardstock by covering the cardstock through the stencil using modeling paste and a crafting spatula.

Therefore, after I’ve had that step done, I went ahead to remove the stencil and then, I went ahead to let the modeling paste dry. Thus, after I made sure that it was completely dry, I went ahead to layer over the textured cardstock piece the second stencil from the set which has the chevron detailed design. However, instead of layering as it supposed to be, I decided to placed the stencil a bit lower for a continue chevron pattern (as shown in the image above)

Moving on, after I had the stencil onto place, I went ahead to ink up the textured cardstock piece using one of my Finger Sponge Daubers and WOW! Embossing Ink. So, after I’ve had finished ink it up, I went ahead to remove the stencil and then, I went ahead to add over the sticky surface WOW! Metallic Gold Rich and soon after that I’ve had added the embossing powder, I went ahead to heat set the powder using my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool. Therefore, after I’ve had finished the heat embossing step, I went ahead to trim the edges off to W 3-1/2’’ x H 8-5/8’’ inches to create the card panel and then right after that, I went ahead to mount it with craft foam tape to a slimline white card base.

Lastly, I went ahead to stamp with embossing ink and gold heat emboss the large floral from Floral Notes Stamp Set over a large piece of translucent vellum. Along with the floral image, I went ahead to stamp and gold heat emboss a sentiment over translucent vellum too. Next, I went ahead to use die from Floral Notes Coordinating Die along with my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the translucent floral images out the large piece of vellum. And then, to finish the die-cutting I went ahead use one of the dies from Essentials: Basic Label Frames Die Set to die-cut the sentiment.

At first, I thought to leave the die-cutting floral as is but, I decided at the very end to add a pop of color so therefore, to do that I went ahead to use the coordinating stencil from Floral Notes Coordinating Stencil Set with the solid floral image and I inking them up using Ballet Slipper Ink. Next, I used the stencil with the leaves and I went ahead to inking them up with Olive Ink. Finally, after I’ve finished the inking step, I went ahead to mount the floral cluster as well as the sentiment (as shown in the image above) using skinny pieces of foam mounting tape then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue a combination of sequins and jewels to add a touch of shine. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Double Chevron” Slimline card.
