Altenew Glint & Glimmer Release ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of “Textured & Glimmering” inspiration cards made with a floral look, using some of their hot foil plates, 3D embossing folders, dies, and stamps from the latest November 2021 Glint & Glimmer Collection by Altenew. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, to make the first example, I went ahead to use Sparkle Bright Stamp & Die & Hot Foil Plate Bundle. Thus, as per usual to when comes to hot foil stamping, I started off by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat. And, once I had that step completed, I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform, and while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock one of the Sparkle Bright Hot Plate including in the bundle.

I would like to mention that this hot foil plate is different from the others that I had used, as this only adds foil accents to the floral cluster. Thus, having that being said, as soon as I had the glimmer plate line up over the white cardstock piece, I went ahead to cut out a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura larger enough to cover the plate and then, I proceeded to get the hot foil stamping done. Once, I had finished the hot foil stamping, I went ahead to line up over the hot foil stamped image its coordinating outlined stamp image which is including in Sparkle Bright Stamp Set. So, to get the stamping steps completed, I used Obsidian Pigment Ink and my MISTI Stamping Tool to get a precise stamping image.

Moving on, while the cardstock piece was inside my stamping tool, I went ahead to get the outlined stamped image stamp once again, but this time using the stamp image fillers to stamp to stamp the flowers and leaves. Thus, for the stamping process, I used: Pale Mauve, Grape Agate, and Yellow Ocher for the flowers + Grassy Knoll Ink, Olive Ink and Warm Buff Ink for the leaves. Then, right after that I’ve had finished stamping the floral cluster, I went ahead to line up over it its coordinating Sparkle Bright Die to cut out the floral cluster out of the cardstock.

Lastly, soon after that I gotten finished die-cutting the floral cluster I went ahead to set it off to the side to get a white card panel stamped using the stamp images. So, to do that, I went ahead to use the outlined floral cluster stamp image once again, but this time I placed over an acrylic block because I wanted to create a background patterned with it. Therefore, to create a subtle card background I used Misty Coast Ink, and once I had gotten finished stamping it, I went ahead to trim off the edges of it a little bit smaller than the card base. Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to line up 3 sentiments including in the stamp set over the upper left corner of the card panel to get the card sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing. So, as soon as I had that done, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive over an A2 size top folding light gray card base. Then, I went ahead to mount the floral cluster with square foam adhesives (as shown in the image above) to add a dimension look to it. Last but certainly not least, I’ve gotten the card embellished by gluing down here and there some Crystal Confetti to add an extra touch of shine to it.

As for the second example, I shared this card earlier this week as it is part of the Altenew Glint & Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, Embossing Folders & Stencils Collection Release┃ Blog Hop + Giveaway so, you can check it out there.

Also, for the third example I made a second Congrats card using the same Congrats Die Set.

Therefore, to add the floral textured look I used Clematis Jingle Bells 3D Embossing Folder along with Grassy Knoll Ink, Olive Ink and Yellow Ocher inks too add a pop of color to the center of the flower + Misty Coast Ink to add a subtle pop of color to the non-dry embossed card background.

Finally, to finish the full set of cards off, I went ahead to glue down some crystal confetti to the other cards to add extra touch of shine to them. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “Textured & Glimmering” inspiration cards with a floral look, using some of the hot foil plates, 3D embossing folders, dies, and stamps from the latest November 2021 Glint & Glimmer Collection by Altenew.
