To start off, I created the card base for the card so, to do that I folded in half a H 8-1/2’’ x W 4-1/4’’ inches white card panel that I trimmed off out of a white cardstock sheet. Once, I score and folded in half the card panel, I ended up having a top folding square card base. To add texture to the card base, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine an A2 white card panel along with the Modern Motif Die background die. So therefore, after creating the die-cutting background panel, I trimmed the edges down to 4.0’’x 4.0’’inches, and I adhered the backing of the textured card panel with liquid glue to the card base.

Right after that, I set the card base aside and I started the heat embossing. As for the heat embossing, I completely inked up a white card panel that measured 3-1/2’’ x 3-1/2’’ inches with WOW! Embossing Ink so, after I done inking the card panel up, I covered the sticky surface created by the embossing ink with WOW! Sunburst Colour Blend, and I finished the heat embossing by heat setting the card panel with my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted.

As soon as the heat embossing was finished, I mounted the card panel with foam mounting tape to the card base, and I started the die-cutting process. For the die-cutting, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Stacked Hearts Die to die-cut it out of white cardstock. As, you can see in the image above, after I was done die-cutting the stacked hearts, I glued down with liquid glue the backing of the heart die-cutting to the card leaving some of the hearts and poking some of them out.

To finish the die-cutting process, I ran through the die-cutting machine the shadow layer from the Miss You Die to die-cut it out of translucent vellum and its top layer to die-cut it 1X out gold cardstock and 3X out of white cardstock. Therefore, after die-cutting all pieces, I stacked them all and I adhered the dimensional die-cutting Miss you as shown in the image above.

Lastly, to add even more dimension and shine, I covered some of the white hearts with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and I added 2 layers of Glossy Accent to them as well as some of the hearts without the white inlaying hearts. I hope you’re able to catch which one are the ones covered with glossy accent.

Finally, to finish the card off, I glued down with liquid glue a few Orange jewels from my Essentials: Jewels Mix set for an extra shiny look. With that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s “Miss you” card. But most of all, I hope this card inspires you to give it a try!
