To start with, I’d like to mention that I used the fabulous WOW! It Changers - Lightening Effects Kit, this set includes 3 embossing powders that create 3 different effects as consist with the following textures; Sheen, Texture and Glisten which are perfect to mix with other embossing powders to change their texture, just like I did for today’s card panel.

So, to create the background panel first; I started by mixing a bit of, WOW! Opaque Bright White, WOW! Clear Gloss, WOW! Primary Bird of Paradise, WOW! Opaque Pastel Yellow and the 3 textures from the WOW! It Changers - Lightening Effects Kit. Once, I had the powders completely mixed, I placed the mixing in one of the empty jars included in the kit and I set it aside.

Second, I inked up entirely a white card panel with WOW! Embossing Ink to create a sticky surface, and as soon as the card panel was inked up, I covered the sticky surface with the mixing that I created earlier. Then, I tapped the excess powder and I heat set the card panel with my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the mixing was completely melted. Right after heat setting the card panel, while the heat embossing was still hot, I sprinkled here and there WOW! Opaque White Ultra High and WOW! Metallic Gold Ultra High to add even more texture. Lastly, after the Granite-Marbling-Sheen-Sparkly you name it texture was created on my card panel, I trimmed off the edges of it to H 5.0’’x W 3-3/4’’ and I foam mounted the card panel to an A2 top folding white card base.

Third, after adhering down the card panel to the card base, I set it aside while I created the die-cutting flower. To create the floral die-cutting, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine 3 different dies from the Dainty Blossoms Die Set to die-cut them out of white cardstock. Once, I have the die-cutting pieces done I inked up the stem and leaves die-cutting with embossing ink, and I glitter embossed them with the green mixing that I created last week. If you missed it, you can ⇾ CLICK HERE to take a note of the powders that I used. Lastly, to finish the heat embossing off, I used the tip of the WOW! Mixed Media Embossing Brush to add embossing ink to the edges and center of the flowers because, I was going to gold heat embossed them with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich. As, for the center of the largest flower, I heat embossed it with a mix of WOW! Opaque White Ultra High and WOW! Primary Bird of Paradise.

Finally, to finish the card off, I glued down with liquid glue the flower along with the leaves on the left side of the card followed by a sentiment which I’ve white heat embossed on a piece of translucent vellum with WOW! Opaque Bright White. With that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s “For you” card as well as, I hope this inspires you to give it a try!
