Spellbinders’ MAR-2020 Stamp of the Month ∣ Inspiration Card

Spellbinders’ MAR-2020 Stamp of the Month ∣ Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, friends! Today, I’m sharing the card that, I’ve created showcasing the new; March-2020 Stamp of the Month Club called “Sentiments Stacks” by Fun Stamper Journey/Spellbinders. This is such a great stamp because, 36 little stamps are included in the set which, are perfect to mix & match either to create backgrounds or personal sentiments just like the one that I created for today’s card using; 3 sentiments from the set. With that said, let’s jump to the step by step on how I made it ↓

Because, I wanted to create a clean & simple but, still elegant Belated Birthday Masculine card the first thing that I did was to create the background for the square card. So therefore, I started by turning on my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform. Then, I set my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine next to it to have ready to foil. Meanwhile, I lined up the fifth sixth and fifth-to-last dies from the Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies and I ran them through the die-cutting machine to die-cut the intricate dotted square out of white cardstock.

Once the intricate dotted die-cutting die was finish, I set it aside. Next, I proceeded to foil a white card panel by placing over a white card panel 3X the Polka Dot Strip Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Foiled Basics by Yana Smakula and foiled it with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Moondust. Lastly, I ran through the die-cutting machine the foiled panel along with the largest die from the set to die-cut the square panel for the card. Right after that, I foam mounted the foiled card panel to a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 in white card base then, I foam mounted the intricate dotted square that I created earlier to the card base.

Having the card base done, all I have left was to create the sentiments so, to create the sentiments first; I placed a large piece of white cardstock inside of my stamping tool. Second, I placed it over the white cardstock piece 3 of the sentiments from the Sentiments Stacks stamp set. Third, I followed the steps to gold heat embossing the sentiments using as usual; Embossing Powder Tool, Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder, Embossing Ink Pad and a Heat Embossing Gun Tool.

Finally, after I was done with the heat embossing, I trimmed the edges off from each of the sentiments using my paper trimmer and I foam mounted each of them to the card (as shown above) This step was totally unnecessary as, I could have heat embossed the sentiments directly over the intricate dotted square however, I thought that it was fun not only to trim each sentiments but to foam mounted them individually for extra dimension and different look. Let me know your thoughts below, because…I’d like to know which way you would have done best?
