Valentine’s Ink Blending Card Set

Valentine’s Ink Blending Card Set

Happy Sunday, Friends! If, you read my newsletter last week you know this was coming as, I mentioned last week that you can create 4 A2 card panel by inking it up the new 9x12 Bursting Hearts Stencil from the new; Hey Bestie Release by Simon Says Stamp. So, if you want to learn how I’ve made this set of Valentine’s Ink Blending Card Set… Please keep on reading this blog post below ↓

To begin with, I temporarily adhered the 9x12 Bursting Hearts Stencil to an 11x14 Strathmore Bristol Smooth Sheet. Right after that, I inked over the stencil using my TE Blender Brushes and Pinks/Peach/Coral hues to create the pattern. Once, the ink blending was done, I carefully removed the stencil from the sheet and, I waited a few minutes before, I could cut the sheet into 4 A2 card panels. Right afterwards, I decided to trim the edges slightly off from each of the card panel just to add a little frame. Last but not least, I foam mounted each of the card panels to their correspondent A2 top folding white card bases.

As, you can see, I kept it simple playing along by placing the die-cuttings and sentiment in 4 different places. So… for the first card, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Hey Love Die to die-cut it 3X out of white card stock and 1X out of gold card stock. I did these many times because, I wanted a sturdy dimensional die-cutting once I stacked them up. Then, I adhered the Hey Love dimensional die-cutting on the upper left side of the card followed by the Happy Valentine’s Day that, I had previously heat gold embossed on a piece of white card stock.

For the second card, I ran though the die-cutting machine the Love You 2 Die and, I die-cut it out from the cardstocks in the same way as I did for the Hey Love. Once, I had the die-cutting done, I adhered it to the lower right side of the card then, I heat gold embossed a sentiment underneath it as, you can see in the picture above.

For the third card, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Love You 2 Die and I die-cut it out of the cardstock in the same way as the previous examples. Then, I adhered it as shown above along with 2 sentiments that I had previously gold heat embossed on skinny pieces of white cardstock.
By the way, I’d like to mention that both Love You dies have a shadow layers so, which I had die-cut it out of Translucent Vellum.

Lastly, for the fourth card, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Big Happy Shadow Die and I created a dimension Happy die-cutting which right afterwards, I adhered to the card along with a sub-sentiment as you can see in the picture above. To finish all 4 cards off, I adhered here and there some of the Heaven Sent Sparkly Mix for a touch of sparkle. With that being said friends, that’s all I have today.
