Thankful for Friends Hot Foil Plate, Stencil & Die┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this dainty hot foil stamping “Double-Folded” inspiration card made using, Thankful for Friends Hot Foil Plate, Thankful for Friends Layering Stencil Set, Thankful for Friends Coordinating Die Set, and PFS- Inks from the latest JUNE-2021 Release by Pinkfresh Studio along with this fabulous set, I’ve also used Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set and Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die for the delicate Lacey edges and card background. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by quickly following the foiling process steps using my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. And, as for the foiling itself I’ve used Thankful for Friends Hot Foil Plate, an A2 size Hammermill Cardstock 80 lb - 100 Bright card panel + Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass roll.

Having that said, as soon as I had finished the hot foil stamping, I went ahead to place down the foiled card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch to get the layered stenciling started. So, as for the stenciling process I used Thankful for Friends Layering Stencil Set, and along with the set, I’ve use as well Peach Fuzz Ink, Coral Reef Ink and Passion Fruit Ink to add color to the flowers + Warm Buff Ink, Grassy Knoll Ink and Olive Ink to add color to the leaves and stems.

Moving on, right after that I had finished adding color to the hot foil stamped floral image, I’ve gone ahead to line up over it Thankful for Friends Coordinating Die Set which, happens to be its coordinating die and then soon after that, I’ve gone ahead to run them both through the die-cut machine to die-cut the floral image out of the cardstock. Then, while I was going through the die-cutting process, I went ahead to create the card base as well. Therefore, to do that, I went ahead to trim off using my Tim Holtz - 8.5 Inch Comfort Paper Trimmer a large white cardstock piece to W 11.0’’ x H 5-1/2’’ inches. And, soon as I had finished with that step, I quickly went ahead to proceed to score some lines using my Measuring and Scoring Board at 3’’ and another at 7-3/8’’ inches marks. Once, I had finished marking the scoring line, I’ve gone ahead to get fold them over, using my Teflon bond folder.

Once, the card base was finished, I decided to add a delicate die-cutting edge, thus to do that, I went ahead to line up over top folding edge one of the dies including in Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set. Then, to add the detailed background panel, I ran as well twice Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die through the die-cut machine to create 2 stitched white background card panels. Having that said, to assemble the card, I went ahead to trim off the stitched background card panels a bit smaller and then, I’ve got them adhered down with double-sided adhesive to the card base (as shown in the image above.) Next, I added dimension to the floral cluster by stacking underneath of it a few more white die-cutting pieces and then, I’ve got it mounted to the card.

Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount with square foam adhesives a sentiment which, I’ve had previously stamped and heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock. Last but certainly not least, I went ahead to glue down here and there using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some of the Metallic Pearls -Gold adding that way an extra pop of metallic accent to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this dainty hot foil stamping “Double-Folded” inspiration card
