Sweet Friend Floral Hot Foil Plate, Stencil & Die┃Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a clean and simple “Friendship” inspiration card made using the latest Sweet Friend Floral Hot Foil Plate, Sweet Friend Floral Layering Stencil Set, Sweet Friend Floral Die and Sweet Friend Floral Stamp Set from JULY-2021 Release. Along with this fabulous floral set, I’ve also used Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set to create the Lacey edge. Leafy Branch Die, Artistic Bows Die Set and Essentials: Crystal Mix to embellish the card + PFS- Inks to add the pop of color to the leaves and flowers. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, as usual with every hot foil stamping project, I started off by quickly following the foiling process steps from my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine so, I could get the foil stamping process done over a white card panel using, Sweet Friend Floral Hot Foil Plate along with a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass.

Next, as soon as I had finished the hot foil stamping process, I’ve gone ahead to place down the hot foil stamped card panel over my Make Art - Stay-tion - 7 Inch to get the layering stencil steps started. Thus, to do that, I used Sweet Friend Floral Layering Stencil Set along with the following color combination Sweet Mustard Ink, Clementine Ink, Grassy Knoll Ink, Olive Ink, Aquamarine Ink and Mermaid Cove Ink to ink up the flowers and leaves.

Having that said, after I had finished the layering stencil process for the flowers and leaves, I went ahead to line up over the card panel the coordinating die, which happens to be Sweet Friend Floral Die, and once I had them both line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through the die cut machine to die-cut each flower along with their leaves.

Moving on, after finishing die-cutting the flowers and leaves, I went ahead to set them off aside to keep going with the die-cutting therefore, I went ahead to line up one of the dies from Essentials: Lacey Edgers 1 Die Set over a small piece of white cardstock to create the lacey edge. Next, I also lined up the Leafy Branch Die over another piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them though the die-cut machine. Lastly, to finish the die-cutting process, I went ahead to line up the dies from Artistic Bows Die Set over a large piece of gold cardstock to create the bow along with one of the dies from Slim Stripes Die Set to die-cut a gold strip out of gold cardstock as well.

Therefore, once all die-cutting elements were completed, I went ahead to start off the assembling for the card, so I went head to trim off an A2 size white card panel a bit smaller than the card base using my Comfort Paper Trimmer, and once I had that done, I quickly gone ahead to adhere down the card panel over an A2 top folding white card base using craft foam and double-sided adhesive to add a bit of dimension. Next, I went ahead to glue down the white leaves over the card panel using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I also went ahead to partially glue down the bottom of the hot foil stamping flowers and leaves over the white leaves. Lastly, I glued down the top of the hot foil stamping flowers with square foam adhesives to add dimension as well.

Once, I’ve had gotten the flowers and leaves adhere down over the card panel, I went ahead to mount the small panel with the lacey edge as well over the card using pieces of craft foam adhesive to add dimension and then, I also glued down the gold bow and gold strip to the front panel (as shown in the image above.)

Finally, to finish the card off I went ahead to use my MISTI Stamping Tool along with 2 sentiments from Sweet Friend Floral Stamp Set to get the card sentiment stamped and heat embossing in the lower right corner and last but not least, I glued down here and there some crystal jewels from Essentials: Crystal Mix to add a touch of sparkle as well. With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this clean and simple “Friendship” inspiration card.
