Spellbinders Truly Yours Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a “Organic” inspiration trio of cards with a glimmering touch made showcasing some of the latest dies and hot foil glimmer plate sets from Truly Yours Collection by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, this collection includes Essential Glimmer Label Glimmer Hot Foil Plate which pairs perfectly with Nestabilities Essential Label Etched Dies. So, to make this card first I started by lining up the largest die from the set over an A2 white card panel and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the large label and to add the dotted detail to the edge of it. Next, as soon as I had finished doing that, I’ve gone ahead to line up over it the second-to-last glimmer plate from Essential Glimmer Label Glimmer Hot Foil Plate set and then, I went ahead to get the foiling process done over it using a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass and of course the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform.

Thus, as soon as finished the hot foil stamping, I went ahead to mount the detailed label using craft foam and double-sided adhesive over an A2 top folding Kraft card base to add dimension. And, once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to set if off aside to start the die-cutting process for the flower bouquet. Therefore, for the wrapping bouquet I used the dies from Bouquet of Flowers Etched Dies along with Rainforest Cardstock for the greenery, Kraft cardstock for the bouquet wrapper, gold cardstock for then Bow Loops, Bow Tails and Bow Center plus, white cardstock along Glimmer Daisy Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set for the daisies.

Moving on, after I had finished die-cutting the daisies and greenery, I went ahead to assemble the bouquet wrapper, bow and daisies and once I had that done, I’ve gone ahead to mount the floral bouquet to the right side of the card. Nevertheless, I went ahead to hot foiling stamp a few sentiments using the sentiment glimmer plates from Mini Sincere Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, and as soon as I had that step done, I quickly went ahead to finish the card off by mounting 2 of them creating that way the card sentiment.

For the second example, I kept it quite simple by creating a slightly similar design however, instead of making an A2 design I created a 4-1/4’’ x 4-1/4’’ inches square card using the latest, Essential Classic Label Etched Dies and Essential Glimmer Classic Label Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

I will skip the steps for how I made this card as they’re basically the same as the previous example with the only difference than this is a square design.

Therefore, as you can see, I decided to use the complete die set from Bouquet of Flowers Etched Dies to create the floral bouquet, and as for the bouquet wrapper I I used translucent vellum instead of Kraft cardstock. Then, to finish the card off I mounted with square foam adhesives a hot foil stamping sentiment created using Mini Sincere Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set as well to create this card sentiment.

Moving on, even though I kept a slightly similar design from the first example to create the last one I decided to change thing a bit by skipping the insert dies that creates the dotted details.

Therefore, instead I use the dies from the set to die-cut the labels and I used the glimmer plates to get the foiling done in two different sizes to add dimension.

Having that said, to finish the card off I went ahead to create two floral cluster using a combination of dies from Bouquet of Flowers Etched Dies and Glimmer Daisy Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and then, I’ve gotten them both mounted on 2 corners of the card panel (as shown in the image above.) And, last but not least, I also added a hot foiling stamping sentiment.

Finally, as a finishing touch I went ahead to glue down with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue here and there a few gold jewels to each card adding that way an extra touch of shine! And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Organic” inspiration trio of cards with a glimmering touch showcasing some of the latest dies and hot foil glimmer plate sets from Truly Yours Collection by Spellbinders.
