Spellbinders - The Right Words by Becca Feeken Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of inspiration cards with a very “Delicate & Intricate” look showcasing the latest: Spellbinders - Right Words by Becca Feeken Collection which includes: You're Amazing Etched Dies, My Sweet Friend Etched Dies, Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies and more. Along with these sets, I’ve had used Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to cut out the shaker window frames and Plaid Company Embossing Folder to add extra texture. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started by lining up right in the middle of an A2 size white card panel the insert panel die included in You're Amazing Etched Dies set and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, as soon as, I had that done, I went ahead to carefully line up the same die over the right side of the card panel and then, I proceeded to run them through the die cut machine. In the same way as, I did for the right side of the card panel, I went ahead to repeat the same steps over the left side of it.

This die had a coordinating panel outline die which, you can see how it looks when using both dies in the upper right side in the image above; however, when using both dies together, they are meant to be use on an A7 size card. That being said, for today’s example, I decided to use just the insert die to create this intricate and delicate front card panel background to use it on an A2 size card. Thus, as soon as, I had gotten finished creating the background over the white card panel, I’ve gone ahead to carefully gluing its backing using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to an A2 size white card panel for a white-on-white look.

Next, after getting its backing gluing down over the panel, I went ahead to use my Paper Trimmer to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side of it and then, I got the backing of it mounted to an A2 size top folding white card base using Double Sided Adhesive Foam to raise some dimension. Once, I had that step done, I proceeded to put the card base aside to continue with the die-cutting process for the card sentiment.

Moving on, for the card sentiment, I used the large Sweet die included in the set along with the You’re So dies included in Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies to, cut out the words from white, mirrored gold cardstock and colored cardstock. Once, I had gotten the die-cutting done for the words, I proceeded to layer them over to create dimension and to add a slightly gold shadow to them. Lastly, I went ahead to get the die-cutting words glue down over the card and then, I got the card finished by gluing down some Sunlight Gold jewels to add the card an extra touch of shine!

For the second example, I went ahead to create a shaker card in a landscaping design. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to create another delicate and intricate card background but, this time I used the insert die included in Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies. As for the process, it was the same process as, I did for the previous example.

Having that said, as soon as, I had gotten done finishing the die-cutting card background, I had gone ahead to get the backing of it gluing down over a large piece of acetate. Then, I put if aside and I proceeded to cut out a white frame. As, for the frame, I went ahead to use the two larger dies included in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to cut the frame out from white cardstock. Also, to keep going with the die-cutting, I went ahead to use the You Are Amazing dies included in You're Amazing Etched Dies to, cut out the card sentiment from white and gold cardstock.

Lastly, I went ahead to glue the backing of the white frame over the intricate panel which, I had gotten glue down over the acetate and then, I added pieces of foam adhesive to raise dimension. Next, I added lots of glitter and crushed gold from Crushed Glass with Gold Foil Leaf Flakes set to a smaller white card panel and then, I went ahead to peel off the backing of the adhesive to get the panel mounted over the glitter to create the shaker panel. Finally, I got the backing of the card panel, adhered to an A2 size side folding card base in a landscaping form and then, I got the card finished off by gluing down the card sentiment. Sentiment, which I had gotten previously layered over to make it dimensional and to add the gold shadow, as well.

For the third example, I went ahead to create another shaker card so, I went ahead to create the white frame using the same dies that I used in the previous example. Then, I used the vine dies included in My Sweet Friend Etched Dies to cut out the vines from white cardstock. Also, I used the dies included in Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies to cut out the card sentiment. To make it simple, I used the same hues for a cohesive look however, instead of adding the gold shadow to the die-cutting words this time, I added the gold as the top layer.

Having that said, right after that I had gotten done the die-cutting process, I went ahead to add texture to a white card panel using Plaid Company Embossing Folder and, once I had that done; I created the shaker frame over the textured card panel using a large piece of acetate and the same shaker elements that I used for the previous example.

Lastly, I went ahead to get the backing of the shaker frame adhered using my Permanent Tape Runner to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I added the vines along with some of the die-cutting flowers that I created using the dies included in the set and then, I got the card finished off by gluing down the card sentiment.

The, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with liquid glue to glue down here and there to the other two card some of the same jewels that added to the first example to add the whole set an extra touch of sparkle! And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of inspiration cards with a very “Delicate & Intricate” look showcasing the latest: Spellbinders - Right Words by Becca Feeken Collection.
