Spellbinders Stitching DOM FEB-2023┃Inspiration Card

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share a dimensional and intricate inspirational card made with a “Floral & Hand-Stitched” look featuring: "Pocket Full of Spring" FEB-2023 Stitching Die Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, I lined up the pocket die included in the die set over a piece of navy cardstock, and then I used the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut the pocket. Next, I used the rest of the dies to cut out the flowers and leaves from light and dark pink and green cardstock. Also, I used pieces of yellow and gold cardstock, as well to cut out the small flowers and to add metallic gold accents to the flowers.

Next, after getting the doe-cutting step completed, I used a DMC #20 Tapestry Hand Needle along with a large piece of gold embroidery thread to add the stitching detail to the pocket. Also, I used pink yellow, and green embroidery thread to add the stitching detail to the flowers and leaves, as well.

So, as soon as I finished adding the hand-stitching step to all die-cutting pieces, I proceeded to get the card assembling started. Therefore, I used an A2-size white card panel to add texture using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club. Once I had that step completed, I used the Paper Trimmer to trim down 1/8 of an inch from each side on the card panel, and then I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Then, I mounted the pocket to the front card panel using craft foam adhesive to add dimension, and lastly, I got the flowers and leaves tucked inside the dimensional pocket. Followed by that, I added the detailed die-cutting pieces to the flowers, and then I got added Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems to the center part of the hand-stitched detail on the flowers to add a little touch of shine.

Lastly, I finished the card by adding a detailed die-cutting sentiment, a sentiment which I got die-cut out of gold cardstock using one of the dies included in the Pocket Full of Spring Sentiments Etched Die Set.

And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this dimensional and intricate inspirational card with a “Floral & Hand-Stitched” look featuring: "Pocket Full of Spring" FEB-2023 Stitching Die Of The Month Club, Pocket Full of Spring Sentiments Etched Die Set and Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
