Spellbinders Parcel & Post Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a cute and festive set of inspiration cards with a “Glimmering and Mailbox” look showcasing the latest; Parcel & Post Collection by Spellbinders which includes: Parcel & Post Mailbox Etched Dies, Parcel & Post Heart Decorations Etched Dies and Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations Etched Dies. Also, All-Occasion Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Christmas Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil Plate by the way, this collection includes Parcel & Post Sentiments Clear Stamp Set if, you are not in to hot foil stamping yet. Besides that, I used Heart and Soul Embossing Folder, Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder and Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the cards backgrounds and lastly, a combination of Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets- Peony Pinks, Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets- Shimmering Tropics, Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Red & Green and Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Gold & Silver to add a little glitter touch to each card. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I used all dies included in Parcel & Post Mailbox Etched Dies to cut out the mailbox pieces from Red cardstock. The greenery from different Green hues and the flowers from Aqua and Peach hues. Also, I used pieces of mirrored Gold cardstock to cut out the mailbox handle.

Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished die-cutting all pieces, I proceeded to get the side panel and the mailbox letter door adhered. So, once I got that done, I went ahead to put the assembled mailbox aside and then, I proceeded to put together the greenery and flowers piece as well.

Once, I had the assembling completed for all pieces, I went ahead to decorate the mailbox by inserting the flowers and greenery to the mailbox letter door along with a mini envelope. By the way, the die set includes the die to create that cute envelope. Having that said, as soon as, I had finished the decorative step, I went ahead to add the sentiment to the mailbox front panel. So, to do that, I used one of the glimmer plates included in All-Occasion Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil Plate along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass along with the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for the hot foil stamping process.

Lastly, after adding the sentiment to the mailbox front panel, I went ahead to get it mounted to the mailbox. Lastly, I added texture to a white card panel using Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Once, I had that done, I got trim down 1/4 of an inch from each side of the card panel and then, I got the backing of it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base. Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to add a heart to the envelope and some of stars here and there to the mailbox. As for the tiny heart, I used the hearts die included in Parcel & Post Heart Decorations Etched Dies also, the stars die included in Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations Etched Dies then for the glittery look, I used red glitter foam included in Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Red & Green and the gold glitter foam included in Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Gold & Silver.

To keep it simple, I used the same red cardstock hue for the mailbox on the second and third example. Also, I used some of the leftover flowers as part of the second example mailbox decoration.

Thus, for the rest of the mailbox decoration, I used the dies included in Parcel & Post Heart Decorations Etched Dies to cut the LOVE alphabet letters and the hearts. Then, to add the extra touch of glitter, I used pieces from the same glitter foam sheets and for the sentiment, I used another glimmer plate included in the same set that I used on the previous example. Other than that, the decoration step was basically the same as the previous example, with the only difference that has less flowers and isn’t a birthday greeting but a sweeter and more special and, perfect to create on Valentine’s day!

Lastly, to finish the card off for this example, I went ahead to add texture to a white card panel using Heart and Soul Embossing Folder and then, I got the edges of it trim down then, I got its backing adhered with my Permanent Tape Runner to an A2 size top folding white card base.

For the third and last example again, I went ahead to use the same hues and design however, I created a festive holiday mailbox. So, to do that, I used the dies included in Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations Etched Dies.

Then, for the sentiment, I used one of the glimmer plates included in Christmas Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. As for the front card panel background texture, I used Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder.

Other than that, to keep it extra festive, I skipped the floral part adding just the glittery greenery + the candy canes and holiday candies. And that’s how it looks the last example all completed either to start ahead of time the holiday card season or, just to enjoy the Christmas in July celebration.

Although, I did not use on any of today’s example the Parcel & Post Sentiments Clear Stamp Set from this collection, I would like to mentioning for those that are not in to hot foil stamping. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this cute and festive set of inspiration cards with a “Glimmering and Mailbox” look showcasing the latest; Parcel & Post Collection by Spellbinders.
