Spellbinders OCT-2021 GOM┃Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you an extra glimmering and enchanted “Autumn” inspiration card made with October’s 2021 “Glimmering Autumn Woods” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club includes 5 glimmer hot plates that add the outlined images for the small Flower, Mushroom, Acorn, Maple leaf and Oak leaf. 5 dies that die cut the outlined hot foil stamping images + 4 dies that die cut the Mushroom stem, Sprig, Flowers buds and small leaves. Along with them, the set includes a hot foil plate sentiment as well, which says '“THANKFUL FOR YOU”.

So, having that said, as per usual I started off by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat. And, once I had that step completed, I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform, and while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the glimmer hot plates. Thus, as soon as I had the glimmer plates line up over the white cardstock piece, I went ahead to cut a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using the Quick Trimmer. And, once the glimmer hot foil platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get the foil stamping done by running the platform through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.
NOTE: I repeated the hot foil stamping step 4 times total, since I didn’t know exactly how many images I was going to use to make this card.

Soon after that I had finished the hot foil stamping, I went ahead to add a subtle pop of color to the leaves using a few ink blending brushes along with Grapefruit, Sprout, Oceanside, Stardust and Wheat color inks by Concord and 9th. Next, I added Grapefruit color ink along with an ink blending brush to the top part of the mushroom and Wheat color ink to its stem.

Lastly, I used whatever ink colors that I had leftover on my ink blending brushes from Wheat, Sprout and Stardust to ink up the Acorns. And, once I had the ink blending completed, I proceeded to die cut the inked images using their coordinating dies along with the other dies that die cut the sprig and small buds. By the way, I used gold cardstock to die cut the sprig and I ink up a piece of white cardstock using Oceanside ink to die cut the buds.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished die-cutting each image, I went ahead to get the card assembling, so to do that, I got glued down the small buds to the sprigs using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I created a cluster with the mushrooms and then, I got them adhere to the left side of an ink blended card background panel, which I’ve had previously ink up with an ink blending brush and Sea Glass color ink. So, after getting the mushroom cluster mounted over the card panel, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue and adhere with foam square adhesives some of the leaves and acorns to create dimension in between them.

Nevertheless, I went ahead to tuck in the small sprigs and to get glue down here and there some crystal sequins to add a little extra shine to the card. Also, to finish the card off, I got the hot foil stamping card sentiment mounted over the lower right side of the card. A card sentiment, which by the way I’ve had gotten hot foil stamped over a strip of white cardstock.
