Spellbinders KOM MAY-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of inspiration cards with a “Sweet & Dimensional” look using: “Koala Smiles” Card Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I used the die included in this month’s Card Kit of the Month Club to create the cute Koala hanging on the branch so, to do that, I went ahead to line up the dies included in the set over small pieces of colored cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. As, for the colored cardstock, I used the colored cardstock included in the kit.

Once, I’ve had finished cutting off the pieces for the cute koala and branch, I went ahead to get the branch and koala assembling done. Then, to add more dimension to it, I went ahead to cut out another branch and then, I got them gluing down together as well as the koala which, I got glued down to the lower branch. Also, I used the wording dies included in the set, to cut out the “Hang in There” card sentiment from gold cardstock.

Lastly, I went ahead to use one of the textured card bases included in the kit to get the card assembling, so to do that, first I went ahead to add a scoring line to the front flap of the card base at 1-3/4” inches mark. Next, I used one of the patterned paper sheets included in the paper pad to get the front card panel embellished. Then, I went ahead to glue down the branch along with the card sentiment in two sections to create dimension. Also, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add some of the puffy heart stickers and as simple as that, you can see in the image above how the card looks like.

For the second example, I went ahead to use another patterned paper sheet from the pad to get the front flap card embellished.

Then, to get the card embellished, I used the some of the die cut shapes included in the ephemera pack along with some of the puffy stickers. Also, to finish the card off, I used some butterflies to add a little bit more dimension and some chipboard stickers to create the card sentiment.

For the third example, I made a framed card with a journaling look. So, to do that, I went ahead to rim down one of the patterned paper sheets from the paper pad and then, I got its backing adhered to one of the textured white card bases.

Next, I went ahead to get the front of the card panel embellished with the die cut shapes and then, I added a little dimension between them using the square foam adhesives included in the kit. Lastly, I added a butterfly and one of the small sentiment sticker to finish the card off.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of inspiration cards with a “Sweet & Dimensional” look using: “Koala Smiles” Card Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
