Spellbinders DOM & EOM MAY-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspiration “Hello” card with a hand-stitching look made showcasing a combination of the latest: MAY-2022 “Stitched Hello” Small Die of the Month Club Kit + MAY-2022 “Faux Stitch” Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit includes 10 cutting dies. Having that said, to create the decorative and stitched element, I went ahead to line up the larger die included in the set over a large piece of heavy weight white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to create 2 die-cutting pieces.

Next, right after that I had finished die-cutting both pieces, I went ahead to put one off to the side and then, I went ahead to get the hand-stitching process done over the other one using, an embroidery needle and a combination of Teals, Yellows, and Peach hues.

As, for the hand-stitching process, that step was pretty straight forward just like the other stitched dies from Spellbinders. Having that said, as soon as, I have had finished the hand-stitching process, I went ahead to layered the hand-stitched die-cutting pieces over the other white die-cutting one to cover up the bottom part of it since, I was planning to create a gate-fold card and I didn’t want the backing of it to show though when the card opens and closes.

Moving on, I went ahead to create the gate-fold card base and then, I added texture to its sides. So, to do that, I used this month’s “Faux Stitch” Embossing Folder of the Month Club to compliment the faux stitching look. Thus, right after that I had added the textured pieces to each side of the gate-fold card base, I proceeded to glued down half part of the hand-stitched die-cutting piece to the left opening then, to keep it closed I used Self Adhesive Dots.

Lastly, I used the dies included in the kit to cut out the Hello greeting from white and gold cardstock and then, once I had that step done, I proceeded to glue them down into place to finish the card off with its die-cutting and dimensional sentiments. Then, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to get glue down here and there a combination of jewels to add a little sparkle touch to the card.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this inspiration “Hello” card with a hand-stitching look showcasing a combination of the latest: MAY-2022 “Stitched Hello” Small Die of the Month Club Kit + MAY-2022 “Faux Stitch” Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
