Spellbinders KOM JUN-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of inspiration cards with a “Birthday & Celebration” look using: "Party Hat & Streamers" Card Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I used the die included in this month’s Card Kit of the Month Club to create the cute and festive party hat so, to do that, I went ahead to line up over a small piece of white cardstock the solid die along with the insert die and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I went ahead to line up just the insert die over small pieces of colored cardstock to cut out from them the colored stripes. By the way, I used the colored cardstock included in the kit for this step.

Once, I’ve had finished cutting off the pieces for the party hat, I went ahead to add the colored stripes and then, I used the fringe dies to cut out from gold cardstock the fringe edge and its decorative top element which by the way, the top decorative element it’s created by rolling and gluing down the same die-cut fringe piece. Having that being said, once I had added the fringe edge and its decorative top element to the party hat, I went ahead to use the flower and greenery dies included in the set to cut out some flowers and leaves using; the same cardstock hues that I used for the stripes.

Thus, as soon as I had finished cutting them all, I went ahead to add the flowers and greenery right over the fringe edge from the party hat. Then, I proceeded to get the card assembling started. So, to do that, I went ahead to use one of the patterned paper sheets included in the paper pad from the kit to get it trim down a little smaller than the card base. Then, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered to one of the textured card bases and then, I got adhered over it a smaller white textured card panel. Lastly, I went ahead to add the decorative party hat over the front card panel and then, to finish the card off, I got glued down the Make a Wish die-cutting card sentiment right under the party hat. By the way, I used the dies included in the set to cut out the sentiment from Black cardstock.

For the second example, I went ahead to use another patterned paper sheet from the pad to add the card background to one of the textured card bases. Next, I went ahead to select some of the die cut shapes to get the front of the card embellished, just as shown in the image above.

Having that said, as soon as, I had finished adding the die-cut shapes to get the card embellished, I went ahead to finish the card off by getting one of the card sentiments included in the stamp set. Thus, to do that, I got the sentiment stamped over the upper right side of the card using detailed black ink.

For the third example, I made a landscaping design so, to do that, I went ahead to use another patterned paper sheet from the pad to add the card background to another textured card base. Next, I used some of the die cut shapes to get the card embellished, just as I did for the previous example.

However, to add even more dimension, I got the card finished by using one of the 3D party hat stickers and then, I by using a chipboard sticker as well to use it as the card sentiment.

Finally, to add extra shine to the card, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the sequins included in the kit to each card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of inspiration cards with a “Birthday & Celebration” look using: "Party Hat & Streamers" Card Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
