Spellbinders DOML JUN-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspiration “Hello” card made with a beautiful paisley look showcasing: JUNE-2022 "Paisley Dreams" Large Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit includes a whole lot of cutting dies that creates a very beautiful paisley look. So, having that said, to create this gate fold card, I started off by lining up each cutting die over pieces of Green, Teal, Yellow, Gold and White cardstock hues and then, I proceeded to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Next, right after that I had finished die-cutting all pieces, I went ahead to repeat the same steps to cut out a second set of the same die-cutting pieces since, I was planning to create a gate fold card and I needed the same number of die-cutting pieces for both openings. Thus, as soon as, I had gotten finished the die-cutting for all pieces, I went ahead to get them assembled by gluing them down using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then, I put them off aside while I created the card base.

As for the card base, I went ahead to trim down a piece of White cardstock to W 11.0 x H 5-1/2 inches. Next, I placed it over my Scoring Board tool with the wider side to the right to trace a scoring line using one of my Craft Treat Teflon Bone Folder at the 2-1/4 point mark. Once, I had the first scoring line marked over the cardstock piece; I went ahead to turn the paper over to the other side to add a second scoring line at the same point mark. Once, I had both scoring lined marked over the cardstock piece, I proceeded to get them fold over and then, I put the card base aside.

Meanwhile, I used a piece of white cardstock along with Diagonal Stripes Slimline Embossing Folder to add texture to the cardstock. To add the textured, I followed the instructions from the die cut and embossing machine and once I had that done, I got trim down the textured cardstock piece to two small pieces; pieces which right afterwards I had gotten adhered down with double-sided adhesive to each side of the card openings.

Lastly, after adding the textured pieces over the card openings, I kept going with the card assembling so, to do that, I went ahead to glue down the die-cutting paisley and decorative pieces to each side of the card opening. By the way, I used one of the stamp images included in Clear Stamp of the Month Club along with VersaMark Ink Pad and Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded to add the stamping and gold heat embossing to the die-cutting design as well. Also, I used the Hello die included in the kit to cut out the word from Gold and one of the hues that I used for the rest of the die-cutting pieces. That said, I used the label die to cut out the label from White cardstock and once I had that done, I got the backing of the left side of it glue down to the left side of the card creating that way the card closure as, you can see in the image above. Finally, to finish the card off, I got glue down the hello over the label and then, I used my Jewels Picker along with liquid glue to glue down here and there some of the Crystal Confetti to add the card a little extra touch of shine!

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this inspiration “Hello” card with a beautiful paisley look showcasing: JUNE-2022 "Paisley Dreams" Large Die of the Month Club in combination with Clear Stamp of the Month Club both by Spellbinders.
