Spellbinders GOM DEC-2020┃Glimmer Mix & Match Inspiration Cards

Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you this set of “From Me to You” card inspiration made using the just released “Glimmer Mix and Match” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

This month the glimmer club includes 5 dainty glimmer plates which when you put them together to foil they create a beautiful frame to the card panel so, to begin with as per usual with every hot foil kit of the month, I started by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine then, I turned on the glimmer hot foil platform. Therefore, while the platform was heating up, I went ahead to line up 2 of the glimmer plates from the set over a white card panel.

Once, I had the glimmer plates line up over the card panel, I went ahead to pick them up using a piece of Press’n Seal to keep them in place and then right after that, I went ahead to cut a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using the Quick Trimmer. So, after the glimmer hot foil platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get the card panel foiled using the glimmer plates along with the foil piece.

Moving on, after I’ve had finished the foiling over the card panel, I went ahead to add a quick wash of water-coloring to the foiled flowers and leaves using dark pink and greens hues that I had already on my mixing palette. Therefore, after I’ve had finished the water-coloring, I went ahead to set the card panel off to the side to let it air dry.

Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up 2 more of the glimmer plates included in the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club. However, this time instead of foiling a completed floral frame, I went ahead to combine one of the plates that includes a sentiment so therefore, the foiling process was exactly the same as the previous example.

Thus, after I’ve had finished the foiling over the card panel, I went ahead to get the berries an leaves water-colored using a deep burgundy and green hues which, I’ve had also previously mixed on my mixing palette.

That said, after I’ve had finished water-coloring and both card panels were completely dry, I went ahead to quickly add a delicate detail to each corner so to do that, I’ve line up over each card panel the largest die from Sentimental Finery Etched Die Set and I ran each of the card panel thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Therefore, after I’ve had finished adding the delicate details to each card panel, I went ahead to glue them down with liquid glue to 2 metallic gold card panels to add a pop of gold color to the detailed corners. Then, right after that, I went ahead to get each of them mounted with craft foam tape to their A2 top folding white card bases adding that way a bit of dimension.

Lastly, after I’ve had finished mounting the card panel to their card bases, I went ahead to mount each of the From Me to You sentiments which, I’ve had previously foiled and die-cut them out of white cardstock using its coordinated die which by the way is also included in this month’s club. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “From Me to You” card inspiration set made with the just released DEC-2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders.
