Spellbinders GOM-MAY20┃Thanks a Million Inspiration Cards

Happy first day of the month, Friends! I On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you these 2 “Thanks” floral cards that I made with the new; “Thanks a Million” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump to the step by step on how I made them ↓

To begin with, I started by setting up on my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Then, I turned on the platform and while it was heating up, I created the card panel for the card. So, for the card panel I placed over my score board tool an A2 size Peaches and Cream panel and I marked every single 1/8’’ of an each to create the pattern. Right after, I got the marks one the card panel done, I trimmed the edges of the card panel and I mounted it with double-sided tape to an A2 size top folding white card base.

By the time that I was done mounting the card panel to the card base my platform was ready to foil so, I set the card base aside, and I placed down over the platform the big Thanks foil plate included in the kit, and I got it foiled over a Buttercream card panel. Once, I had the Thanks foiled over the card panel, I placed down the sentiments that are also included in the kit over the platform, and I got them foiled as well on a piece of Buttercream cardstock. By the way this month the kit included Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Blush color.

Lastly, I placed down the flower outline foil plate over the platform, and I got a few flowers foiled over Peaches and Cream color cardstock. As for the leaves, I got them foiled over Citrine color cardstock with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Citrine. Then, to add a contrast after I got them foiled, I ran through the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the dies that are included in the kit not only to die-cut the foiled images but, also to die-cut out the inner layer of the flower from Light Pink cardstock, and the greenery out of Darker Green cardstock. Finally, after I had the die-cutting pieces done, I used the Stylus Tips for Tool n' One for my Tool ‘n One to curl up the inner of the flowers and I created 3 little floral clusters. To finish the card off, I mounted with craft foam tape one of the sentiments , and I glued down with liquid glue the little cluster that I had previously created in the way that you see them in the image above.

For the second example, I created a 5X7 Framed card with a pre-made card base. Therefore, all I did was to create the panel and the detailed frame as simple as that!

With that said I inserted in the pre-made card base a cream card panel on which I had previously foiled the Thanks. Then, I glued down with liquid glue the detailed white frame that I’ve previously created by running through the die-cutting machine a large piece of white cardstock and the largest die from the Nestabilities Candlewick Rectangles Etched Dies.

So, after I got the white detailed frame mounted to the card, I kept it simple by gluing down 3 cluster that I had previously created in the same way as the previous example.
Quick Note: Because, I had more space due the size for this example I decided to use the small dies that create small flowers to add more flowers for a fuller look.

Finally, to finish the card off I mounted the sentiment, and I glued down with liquid glue Yellow jewels here and there and to the centers of the flowers. Except for the larger flowers because, I wanted the foiled center to show through so, instead of covering them with a jewel I added Glossy Accent to add dimension and make them shine.

As finishing touched, I covered each of the flowers with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen for an extra shine!
