Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes Collection┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a beautiful set of “Geometrical Shapes” inspiration card to showcase the latest, Essential Glimmer Solid Shapes Collection by Spellbinders which includes: Essential Glimmer Solid Circle Glimmer Hot Foil Plate, Essential Glimmer Solid Oval Glimmer Hot Foil Plate, Essential Glimmer Solid Square Glimmer Hot Foil Plate, and Essential Glimmer Solid Rectangle Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Along with this awesome collection, I used Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Matte Gold and Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform for the hot foil stamping process. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, to make these cards, I went ahead to start off by setting up my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat. And, once I had that step completed, I went ahead to turn on the glimmer hot foil platform and then, I lined up over some A2 size white card panels each solid shaped glimmer plate included in the collection. Then, while my platform was heating up, I went ahead to cut out pieces of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Matte Gold and once the platform was ready to foil, I went ahead to get each solid shape glimmer hot foil plate over each A2 size white card panel. Having that said, as soon as, I’ve had finished the hot foil stamping for all solid shapes, I’ve gone ahead to repeat the same steps to create a few more hot foil stamped images because, I wanted to use them to create the die-cutting elements.

Thus, as soon as, I’ve had getting the hot foil stamping done, I used the hot foil stamped circle solid shape to create the first example, so to do that, I also went ahead to used the dies included in Nestabilities Essential Circles Etched Dies to cut out the solid circle shape and to add the dotted detail to the front card panel. Besides that, I used one of the dies included in Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments Etched to cut out the Congrats die-cutting sentiment and, one of the dies included in Delicate Butterflies Etched Dies to cut out the detailed Butterfly. Lastly, I used some of the dies included in Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies to cut out the flowers and greenery to create the small floral cluster for the card. Moving on, once I’ve had finished the die-cutting process, I’ve gone ahead to get the card assembling so, to do that, I went ahead to get the backing of the detailed dotted front card panel layered over a peachy colored cardstock piece and then, I got its backing adhered to an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to get the solid circle shaped mounted with craft foam adhesive to add dimension and then, I went ahead to finish the card off, by getting the card embellished with the die-cutting floral cluster, die-cutting butterfly, and die-cutting sentiment.

To make the second example, I used the solid square shape, so to do that first, I went ahead to use the larger dies included in Nestabilities Essential Rectangles Etched Dies to cut out the front card panel and to add the dotted details to it. Second, I used one of the dies included in Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies to cut out the solid hot foil stamped square shape. Third, I used some of the dies included in Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies to cut out the small flowers and greenery using the same cardstock hues that I used in the previous example.

Having that being said, for the card assembling, I went ahead to get the backing of the dotted white card panel mounted with craft foam adhesive to add dimension to an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, to add more dimension, I went ahead to get the backing of the solid square shape mounted with craft foam adhesives in a diagonal shape over the front card panel. Lastly, I went ahead to glue down the smaller flowers and greenery as shown in the image above and then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the card sentiment mounted in the center of the focal point of the card. A card sentiment which, I’ve had previously stamped and heat emboss over a strip of white cardstock using one of the sentiments included in Essential Sentiments Clear Stamp Set plus, VersaMark Ink Pad, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool for the stamping and heat embossing process.

For the third example, I used the oval solid shaped but instead of using it as a die-cutting shape, I used it as the solid background for the card. Thus, to do that, I went ahead to trim down 1/4 of an inch from each side of the card panel using my Paper Trimmer and then, I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base. Next, same as the previous examples, I went ahead to use the dies included in Nestabilities Essential Ovals Etched Dies to cut out the frame and to add up to it the dotted details.

Moving on, I went ahead to get the backing of the dotted die-cutting frame mounted with craft foam adhesive to the card base and then, I got the card embellished with a die-cutting floral cluster which, I created with the same hues for a cohesive look and by using the dies included in Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies. Also, I obtained a butterfly gluing down a die-cutting over the upper right side of the oval frame, a die-cutting butterfly that I created with the same die I used in the first example. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the card sentiment glue down to the card. A sentiment which, I created using the Thanks die included in Yana's Layered Script Sentiments Etched Dies.

There are so many ways, you can use these awesome solid shapes as, you can use them to die-cut sentiments and shapes, use them as card backgrounds or, use them as a solid card front as well. Having that said, I went ahead to use the rectangle shape as the solid card front background but, I added some dotted details, too. Therefore, I went ahead to add the dotted detail to it and then, I got the backing of it mounted with craft foam adhesive to an A2 size side folding white card base in a landscaping form.

Thus, to create the dimensional card focal point, I went ahead to use Magnolia Blooms Etched Dies to cut out the outlined floral cluster. Also, I used Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies to cut out the greenery and one of the dies included in Delicate Butterflies Etched Dies to cut out the layered die-cutting butterfly. As, for the card sentiment, I used another card sentiment included in Essential Sentiments Clear Stamp Set to get it stamped and heat embossing over a strip of colored cardstock using VersaMark Ink Pad, Embossing Powder Ultra Fine Alabaster, and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool for the stamping and heat embossing process.

Therefore, I went ahead to create the focal point over the card front using the die-cutting pieces and card sentiment just as, shown in the image above. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to this card and to the other three to add them a touch of sparkle!
