Spellbinders Be My Valentine┃DOML JAN-2022 Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you an interactive “Valentine’s Day” inspiration card made showcasing; January’s 2022 “A Pocket Full of Love” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. Along with it, I’ve also used this month’s Embossing Folder Club and Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club kits. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit includes eleven dies which one cut out a card pocket, one that adds the botanical details to the card pocket, one which cut out the solid heart shape and one that add the adds the inner details for the heart. two layering dies that cut out the card that goes inside the pocket and last but not least five dies that cut out the flowers and leaves.

Having that said, I went ahead to line up the pocket dies including in the kit over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I went ahead to line up the inner die for the card pocket over a large piece of green cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cut machine as well. Once, I was done die-cutting the detailed layer for the card pocket, I went ahead to layer it over the card pocket and then, I set it off to the side, so I could go ahead to cut the other pieces out.

Thus, I went ahead to line up the floral dies to cut out the large flower pieces out of Pink, Yellow and Dark Green cardstock. Next, right after that I’ve had finished cutting them out, I went ahead to get layer them over to the card pocket.

Moving on, I went ahead to use the dies including in the kit to cut out the layers for the card that goes inside the card pocket. So, I went ahead to cut out each layer from white and gold cardstock and then, I quickly gone ahead to layer them over as show in the image above.

Then, I used the heart dies to cut it out from green cardstock and then, as soon as I had done that, I quickly gone ahead to get it glue down in the center of the card pocket. Also, I used the small die to cut out the small flowers, flowers which right after I proceeded to glue down over the heart.

Lastly, to complete the card that goes inside the card pocket, I went ahead to create a pull up effect to it by adhering down a piece of cardstock and a bow. A piece of textured cardstock which I’ve had created previously using a leftover piece of embossed cardstock and a bow created out a narrow piece of white ribbon.

By the way, the heart was designed to be attached to the note card right in the upper center of it. However, I decided to add the ribbon instead. Then, as for the card sentiments, I went ahead to use two sentiments from Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club and I used their coordinating dies as well to cut them out from the cardstock.

Finally, for the card assembling, I used this month’s Embossing Folder Club Kit to add the dry embossing texture to a white card panel. A card panel which I’ve got adhered down over an A2 size top folding white card base. Next, I mounted the card pocket over the front card panel and then, I proceeded to glue down here and there pink jewels to resemble the berries from the card pocket. And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this interactive “Valentine’s Day” inspiration card showcasing; January’s 2022 “A Pocket Full of Love” Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders.
