Spellbinders DOMAPG MAY-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a 3-Dimensional inspiration project with a “Baking” shaped look made using “Pop Up 3D Vignette What’s Bakin’ Oven” MAY-2022 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month includes fourteen cutting dies that add up a 3D effect when using each die to create this baking oven looking project.

So, to start off, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of light Peach colored cardstock the die and its inserts to cut out the front part of the oven and to add the details to it. Then, I used the smaller dies to cut out the control knobs, oven racks and handles pieces plus, the bottom piece from holographic cardstock.

Also, I used the rest of the smaller dies to cut out from the same holographic cardstock the cooktop burners and the baking sheet. Besides that, I used the dies that cut out the cooktop surface, rear control panel, back side and side frames to cut them put from darker Peach colored cardstock.

Thus, from the same-colored cardstock, I went ahead to cut out the insert pieces as well. Having that said, for the baking oven inspiration project assembling, I went ahead to insert the die-cutting pieces to the side frames and then, I proceeded to glue them down to the back piece. I did not capture this step as; it is quite simple if you’re familiar with Becca’s Pop Up 3D Vignette Dies.

Moving on, as soon as, I had finished off putting together the back and its sides, I use another backing die-cutting piece to add the inside of the oven however, I went ahead to fussy cut out the top part with a small pair of scissors also, I’d like to mention that I decided to use dark peach colored cardstock instead of using black cardstock; I did it this way because, the peach cardstock adds up a subtle look as the difference of using black cardstock that would add up a more realistic look. Therefore, as soon as I had the inside piece adhered, I proceeded to glue down the front piece to it. Then, I got the embellishing for it started.

As for the embellishing, I went ahead to glue down the oven racks to the inside of the oven. Next, I added the first die-cutting sentiment between them as well. Then, I got glue down the handles for the oven door and bottom drawer. By the way, I also added a piece of acetate to the door over to add the shiny glass looking, too!

Right after that, I had finished gluing down the inside pieces and oven door pieces, I proceeded to glue down the cooktop part along with its burners and control knobs. As, you can see in the image above, I used a combination of liquid glue and square foam adhesives to add them some dimension to it.

Lastly, I went ahead to glue down over the cooktop the baking sheet and then I added to it some cookies and a die-cutting oven glove and a die-cutting spatula. By the way, I used the dies included in the set to cut out the oven glove and spatula from gold cardstock. And I also used the same light peach cardstock to cut the cookies out from it.

Here in the image above, you can see a side profile picture for how this 3D inspiration project looks like along with its kitchen utensils. Also, you can slightly see how the inserts look like underneath the top part of the cooktop.

Finally, to finish this 3D inspiration project off, I went ahead to add a second die-cutting sentiment so, to do that, I used another of the sentiments included in the set to create a 3D banner effect to it and then I got it gluing down to the back side of the final project.

And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this 3-Dimensional inspiration project with a “Baking” shaped look using “Pop Up 3D Vignette What’s Bakin’ Oven” MAY-2022 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month by Spellbinders.
