Spellbinders With All My Heart┃DOM JAN-2022 Inspiration Card

Happy New Year, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate and dimensional “Valentine’s Day” inspiration card made showcasing the latest, January-2022 “A Lotta Hearts” Small Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. Along with it, I’ve also used January-2022 “Love Enclosed” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit for the card sentiment + a small piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass for the hot foil stamping process. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

To begin with, this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit includes 3 cutting dies which one die creates the die-cutting heart card background which, makes it easy to add different color or just add dimension for a clean and simple look as I did for today’s example. Besides that, the kit also includes an intricate botanical looking heart die that adds the botanical details to the center of the die-cutting heart created from the die-cutting background and last but certainly not least, a die that cut out small flowers and their centers.

Therefore, to make this card first, I went ahead to line up the background die from the kit over a large piece of white cardstock and then I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I carefully went ahead to get each solid piece from the die-cutting background adhered over an A2 size white card panel and then, I proceeded to inlay each die-cutting heart piece but being careful only by gluing down where both pieces of the die-cutting hearts meet. I took this step because, I wanted to add dimension by curling up the ends of each die-cutting heart.

Having that said, as soon as I’ve had finished inlaying back each heart, I went ahead to cut out two more times the card background out white cardstock. Thus, as soon as I’ve finished cutting them out, I went ahead to add more dimension to the card background by repeating the same step as I previously did by inlaying the center of each die-cutting heart, adding that way three layers to the card background as you can see in the image below.

As for the heart in the center of the card, I went ahead to use the heart including in “Love Enclosed” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club Kit to cut out a solid gold heart. Then, I used the insert die including in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit to add the detailed botanical look to the white die-cutting heart. So, after I had finished adding the botanical details to the white heart, I went ahead to layered it over the gold die-cutting heart and then, I’ve got it mounted over the center of the card with craft foam adhesives to add a little bit of dimension.

Although, I didn’t finish nor completed a card using the leftover pieces, I decided to take a picture for you to see, how you can use the leftover pieces to make a second card without adding a whole lot of dimension. Also, to share how quick and simple could be to make a card by skipping the inlaying process for the die-cutting hearts.

Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the card sentiment mounted right in the center of it and I also glue down some small die-cutting flowers to add even more dimension to it. Flowers, which I’ve had gotten cut out of white cardstock using the die including in the kit. For their centers, I glued down small gold jewels to add a pop of sparkle to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate and dimensional “Valentine’s Day” inspiration card showcasing the latest, January-2022 “A Lotta Hearts” Small Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders.
