Spellbinders DOM & EOM APR-2022┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a “Gift Greetings” inspiration card made without any specific occasion showcasing the latest: April-2022 “Gift Borders & Sentiments” Small Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders. Along with it, I’ve also used April-2022 “Radiant Burst” Embossing Folder of the Month Club to add texture to the card background. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit includes 11 cutting dies. Having that said, to create the decorative gift boxes element first, I went ahead to line up together both outer dies over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine (3X) to create more than one die-cutting piece.

Next, right after that I had finished die-cutting them all, I went ahead to put two off to the side and then, I went ahead to place one of them over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat to add a pop of color to each gift using some ink blending brush along with a combination of Pink, Orange, Yellow, and Teals hues. As, for the inking process, I went ahead to mask each gift off to add different hues to them. You can use the die this way to create a much simpler looking design or, you can use different colored cardstock to create an inlaying look.

Having that being said, as soon as, I had finished adding those pop of colors to each gift, I went ahead to line up the insert die over the inked die-cutting piece and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cut machine. By doing this way, you can see that I got left only the outer detailed die-cutting piece. Thus, to create the final gifts border look, I went to use the detailed die-cutting piece as if each white gift were wrapped up with colored ribbon for a clean and airy look design. So, for the white gifts, I went ahead to glue down the outer detailed and inked up die-cutting piece over one of the white solid pieces. Then, to make it sturdier, I went ahead to layer it over the last solid die-cutting piece. Once, I had those steps completed, I proceeded to cut out the gift bows out of Gold Foil Cardstock and then, I went ahead to glue down each of them over each gift to add a gold accent to them.

Moving on, to add texture to the front card panel, I went ahead to use this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month Club along with a large piece of white cardstock and then, as soon as, I’ve had added the texture to it, I went ahead to get it trim down using my Paper Trimmer to create the front card panel. A front card panel which, right afterwards I had gotten adhered with double-sided adhesive over an A2 side folding white card base in a landscaping form. Then, soon after that I had the front card panel adhered over the card base, I went ahead to get mounted the gifts border die-cutting piece using pieces of craft foam adhesives to add a little bit of dimension. And, lastly to finish the card off, I went ahead to create and to glue down a little over above the gifts the card sentiment. A die-cutting card sentiment which, created using one of the dies included in the kit along with white and gold cardstock to make it with a dimensional and sturdier look.

Finally, as a finishing touch, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some Crystal Confetti to add a sparkle touch to the card. And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Gift Greetings” inspiration card made without any specific occasion showcasing the latest: April-2022 “Gift Borders & Sentiments” Small Die of the Month Club Kit and April-2022 “Radiant Burst” Embossing Folder of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
