Spellbinders DEC-2021 DOML┃Inspiration Card

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with you a very detailed “Sending Hugs” inspiration card made with a combination of December’s 2021 Large Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders, which I used to create the detailed die-cutting background and this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit to add the floral touch. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, this month’s Large Die of the Month Club Kit includes six layered dies which one cut out a solid small rectangle, one adds up the stitching details to the small rectangle, two which are layering dies that layered over the stitched panel + two small, layered dies that add accents to any design. Having that being said, to make the pattern over the front panel for today’s card, I used only those smaller layering dies from the set.

Thus, I went ahead to line up the smaller dies over scrap pieces of white cardstock and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. To be exact, I ran each of them through the die cut machine 24 times. Next, as soon as I had finished die-cutting each layer, I quickly gone ahead to layer them together and then, I started off to create the pattern design over an A2 size white card panel. So, to do that, I went ahead to start off the pattern design by gluing down the first layered die-cutting accent over the card panel but leaving a white space over the upper right corner of it. Then, I went ahead to glue down a second and third accent leaving more white space (as you can see on the upper right side of the card in the image above.)

So on and so forth, I continued gluing down each layered die-cutting accent over the card panel leaving white spaces over the left, center, and right parts of the card panel until I had created a textured and dimensional geometrical-diamond pattern over it. Moving on, after I’ve had finished creating the pattern over the card panel, I’ve gone ahead to trim off the excess pieces and then, I’ve gone ahead to get the backing of it adhered to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Lastly, I went ahead to use the dies including in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club Kit to create the die-cutting floral cluster. By the way, I used Barely Peach Cardstock, Pink Sand Cardstock, Beeswax Cardstock, Fern Cardstock and Waterfall Cardstock to cut out the solid layer for the flowers and leaves + gold cardstock to cut out the outlined layers for the flowers. Therefore, as soon as I had finished die-cutting the flowers and leaves, I went ahead to create the floral cluster and the, I proceeded to get it mounted over the upper left side of the card. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down the card sentiment over the lower right side of the card. Card sentiment, which I’ve had previously cut out a layered over for a sturdy and dimensional look from white and gold cardstock using 2 dies from Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments Etched set.

Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some gold jewels to add an extra pop of shine to it. And, with that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this detailed “Sending Hugs” inspiration card with a combination of December’s 2021 Large Die of the Month Club Kit and Small Die of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders
