Spellbinders DEC-2021 CSOM ┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very delicate set of “Floral & Hand Stitched” inspiration cards made using “Colors Outside the Lines” DEC-2021 Clear Stamp of the Month Club Kit by Spellbinders which now comes as pack with its coordinating die set → Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club Kit. Besides that, to make this set of cards, I paired this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club and Large Die of the Month Club Kit. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I used the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. So, to make this mini slimline card, I started off by placing a small mini slimline card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I proceeded to line up the outlined floral stamp images including in the stamp set to start the stamping over the panel. The stamp set includes four outline stamp images, so I went ahead to stamp each stamp image around the perimeter of the card panel until I had gotten created a floral frame over it.

Once, I had created the floral frame over the card panel, I went ahead to use the solid stamp images to get them stamped over the outlined stamped images using Pigment Craft Co Inks in the colors: Himalayan, Rosewood, Turmeric, Monstera and Lagoon. Therefore, as soon as I had finished getting the solid stamp images stamped over the outlined images, I went ahead to trim off 1/4” of an inch from each side of the card panel and then, I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive over a slimline white card base in a landscaping form.

The stamp image also has a very dainty set of letters that creates three words, so I went ahead to get them stamped with embossing ink over a large piece of white cardstock, and then I got them heat embossing using: Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Thus, right after that I had finished stamping and heat embossing them, I went ahead to use their coordinating dies to cut the letters out from the cardstock. So, to cut them out from the cardstock, I used my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Lastly, I also cut out extra letters from plain white to make the Love You card sentiment a little sturdy and dimensional. Having that said, after I had finished off layering the letters, I went ahead to get them glue down over the card, and the to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some tiny gold jewels to add an extra pop of shine to the card.

For the second example, I went ahead to use another word created from the letters including in the stamp set. Therefore, I went ahead to get the letters stamped over a piece of white cardstock using some of the ink colors that I used in the previous example. Then, after I had finished stamping them, I went ahead to cut them out using their coordinating dies and then, I proceeded to get the card assembling started.

For the card assembling, I went ahead to adhered down a slightly smaller textured white card panel over an A2 size top folding white card base, and then I went ahead to get a foiled wreath mounted over the card with square foam dimensional to raise its dimension. A foiled wreath which, I’ve had created using this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club along with a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll: Aura and of course, the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform for the hot foil stamping process. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the letters mounted over the card creating a Hello card sentiment. Finally, I went ahead to glue down here and there some of the tiny gold jewels to pop even more shine to the card.

For the last example, I made a gate-fold card in a landscaping form, so to make it, I went ahead to create the card base. Thus, for the card base, I went ahead to place down a large piece of white cardstock (W 11.0” x H 4-1/4”) inches over my Scoring Board and then, I proceeded to trace some scoring line at 2-1/4” on each side of the cardstock piece. Then, I went ahead to fold the scoring lines over and then, I set the card base off to the side. Meanwhile, I used the dies including in this month’s Large Die of the Month Club to create two white stitched card panels. Panels, which fit perfectly on each flap of the gate-fold card.

So, for the hand stitching process, I went ahead to use DMC embroidery floss in colors similar to the color inks I used for the stamping. Therefore, I went ahead to get the hand stitching done over each card panel, and once I had that done, I proceeded to mount each of them over the card base. Lastly, after getting each hand stitched card panel mounted over the card base, I went ahead to create the card sentiment. As, for the card sentiment, I used the solid stamp image including in the stamp set to get it stamped over a piece of white cardstock. Then, I stamped and heat embossing over the stamped solid image one of the sentiments including in the stamp set as well. Lastly, I used the coordinating die to cut it out from the cardstock, and to finish the card off, I went ahead to create a closure for my gate-fold card with the die cut card sentiment. Also, I went ahead to glue down tiny gold jewels to add a pop shine to the card.
