Spellbinders CSOM + CDOM FEB-2022┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a set of “Birthday, Thank You, and Encouragement” inspiration cards made with a typewriter and textured look using a combination of “Old School Notes” FEB-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club + Small Die of the Month Club, Large Die of the Month Club, and Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I used the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club. So, to make it first, I went ahead to place over a large piece of white cardstock inside the MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I proceeded to place over it the floral stamp images including in the stamp set. Once, I had that step completed, I proceeded to get the stamp images stamped using embossing ink and then, I repeated this step twice to double up each floral image. Then, as soon as I’ve had finished the stamping, I quickly went ahead to get them gold heat emboss using gold embossing powder and a heat gun embossing tool.

Once, I had the heat embossing process done, I proceeded to use my Zig Clean Color Real Brushes to add pops of color to the floral images. As for the greenery, I went ahead to get each sprig stamped over a large piece of white cardstock using Leafy green ink. Thus, as soon as I had enough greenery stamped over the white cardstock, I went ahead to use the coordinating dies to cut out each stamped image from the cardstock so, to do that, I went ahead to line up each coordinating die over the stamped image and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Lastly, for the card assembling, I went ahead to create a square white card base. Then, I used the dies including in Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies to cut out from white cardstock a large and a small white square panel. Next, I went ahead to get the backing of the larger white square panel adhered with double-sided adhesive over the card base and then, I’ve got mounted the typewriter along with the floral images and greenery over the smaller square just as shown in the image above. Also, to add more dimension, I went ahead to create a small pop-up piece and then, I’ve got it adhered to the back of the smaller square panel. Last, but certainly not least, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the smaller card panel adhered over the card base.

If you follow my blog posts, you might be familiar with the second example, as I previously made a card using this month’s Large Die of the Month Club. However, to change thing a little bit, I went ahead to create a flat typewriter to get it mounted over an A2 size card base. That said, I went ahead to use the dies including in the kit to create the typewriter and the greenery. Also, I used one of the dies including in the kit to add the die-cutting thanks effect to it. Other than that, the assembling was pretty much the same. → CLICK HERE to go to the previous blog post.

Thus, for the card assembling, I went ahead to add texture to a white card panel using this month’s Embossing Folder Kit of the Month Club. Next, I’ve got trimmed down the edges of it and then, I’ve got the back of it adhered with double-sided adhesive over an A2 size top folding white card base. Lastly, I went ahead to get back of the typewriter mounted over the card and then, I’ve gone ahead to finish the card off by gluing down here and there some Crystal Confetti to add an extra pop of shine.

The last example was the simpler of all yet with lots of texture and a detailed look. So, to do it, I went ahead to the other leftover piece from the dry embossing panel and then, I’ve got it ink up with an ink blending brush and Coral-Pink hue. Then, while the inking was setting into the textured card panel, I went ahead to put it off to the side, so I could have gone to cut out the intricate ovals from white cardstock using the dies including in this month’s Small Die of the Month Club. Although, this dies are designed for a hand-stitching they also look great without it. → CLICK HERE if you have not seen how they look with the hand-stitching touch.

With that said, to get the card assembling done, I’ve gone ahead to get the edges from the textured and inked card panel trim down and then, I proceeded to get its backing adhered with double-sided adhesive over an A2 size, side folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to get the backing of the large die-cutting oval mounted over the card base with craft foam adhesive to add dimension. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get mounted the backing of the smaller oval as well with craft foam adhesive to add even more dimension. By the way, I would like to mention that I used the sentiments including in the stamp set for today’s examples.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of “Birthday, Thank You, and Encouragement” inspiration cards made with a typewriter and textured look using “Old School Notes” FEB-2022 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club + Small Die of the Month Club by Spellbinders.
