Spellbinders Be Bold Collection┃Citrus & Floral Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very delicate and elegant set of non-traditional “Citrus & Floral” inspiration cards made showcasing the latest: Be Bold Collection by Spellbinders. Which includes, Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies, Lemon Zest Etched Dies, Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiments Etched Dies, Be Bold Uppercase Alphabet Etched Dies, Be Bold Lowercase Alphabet and Numbers Etched Dies, and Be Bold Punctuation & More Etched Dies. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I went ahead to start the die-cutting process using my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with colored cardstock and the dies including in Lemon Zest Etched Dies. Thus, once I had all pieces cut out from different purplely-pink, navy, yellow, and gold hues, I’ve gone ahead to to put together the lemon cluster by layering over all pieces to add dimension and contrast to them using the different hues along with the gold cardstock to add a slightly gold shadow to it.

Next, as soon as I’ve had finished the assembling for the citrus cluster, I’ve gone ahead to put it to the side, so I could have the die-cutting process done for the card sentiment. As, for the card sentiment, I used two dies from Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiments Etched Dies to cut out the For You sentiment out of white and gold cardstock to make it dimensional and sturdy. Having that said, after getting the card sentiment cut out and layered it together, I quickly went ahead to put it off to the side, to get the card base and front card panel ready to assemble the card.

Moving on, for the card front panels, I used Precision Layering A2 A Etched Dies and Precision Layering A2 B Etched Dies from the latest: Precision Layering Basics Collection, to create an 1/8” of an inch dimensional frames using: navy, gold, and white cardstock. As, you can see for the white card panel, I decided to add a little marbling touch of hot foil stamping using one of the glimmer plates including in Geo Foliage Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Therefore, I went ahead to layered over the card panels to an A2 side folding white card base and then, I went ahead to mount over it the lemon cluster to the right side of the card and the card sentiment to the upper left side of the card. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down two small flowers along with gold jewels as their centers to add an extra pop of shine to it.

For the second example, I created a floral and geometrical framed card, so to do that I went ahead to use the dies including in Be Bold Blooms Etched Dies to cut out each floral and greenery piece using the same hues that I used in the previous example + green.

Once, I’ve had finished cutting out each floral and greenery piece, I’ve gone ahead to put them together and then, I set them off to the side to create the geometrical die-cutting frame. So, to do that, I used the dies including in Geo Foliage Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set to cut them out from white and gold cardstock. Having that said, right after that I had finished cutting them out, I went ahead to layer them over and then, I put them off to the side to cut out the Hello card sentiment using the dies including in Be Bold Uppercase Alphabet Etched Die and Be Bold Lowercase Alphabet and Numbers Etched Dies.

As, for the card sentiment, I went ahead to cut it out from white and gold cardstock to add dimension to it. So, right after, that I had the die-cutting process for the card sentiment completed, I went ahead to get the card assembling started. Thus, I went ahead to glue down each floral cluster and greenery to the back of the layered and geometrical frame but making sure that the pretty side of them were facing to the front of the card (as shown in the image above.). Then, I went ahead to mount the frame over an A2 top folding white card base. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down over the geometrical frame the dimensional die-cutting card sentiment.

For the last example, I went ahead to use a mix of Be Bold Uppercase Alphabet Etched Dies, Be Bold Lowercase Alphabet and Numbers Etched Dies, and Be Bold Punctuation & More Etched Dies to create a full front card panel size card sentiment.

Therefore, I went ahead to use the same hues for a cohesive look to cut out each letter. Once, I’ve had finished cutting each letter out from them, I’ve gone ahead to add the same marbling touch of hot foil stamping effect to a smaller front card panel, and then I’ve got mounted each letter over it with tiny pieces of craft foam adhesive, creating that way the full size and dimensional card sentiment.

Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 to folding white card base.

And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate and elegant set of non-traditional “Citrus & Floral” inspiration cards showcasing the latest Be Bold Collection by Spellbinders.
