Hugs and Kisses┃Mini Handmade Gift and Matching Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a cute “Valentine’s Day” mini gift and matching inspiration card made with a dimensional floral and glimmering look using: Posie Perfection Cover Die, 3D Large Perfect Posy Die, 3D Perfect Posy Dies, Heart N Hugs Stamp, Heart N Hugs Die, Heart N Hugs Foil Plate, and Simply Plaid Foil Plate from the newest release by The Stamp Market. Along with this set, I used Pillow Box Die to create the mini gift and Holiday Greenery to add the gold greenery for the card. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done, so to do that, I went ahead to line up the Simply Plaid Foil Plate over my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform. A platform, which I had already on and ready to foil. Having that being said, I proceeded to get the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock using my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass.

Next, right after that I had finished the hot foil stamping, I’ve gone ahead to use Pillow Box Die to cut out the front part of the pillow case from the hot foil stamped panel and then, I used the same die to cut out the bottom part of the pillow case out plain white cardstock. Thus, as soon as I had finished cutting out both pieces, I’ve gone ahead to get the pillow case assembled and then, I put it off to the side. Meanwhile, I went ahead to line up the dies including in 3D Large Perfect Posy Die over a large piece of white cardstock and then, I proceeded to run them through the die cut machine to cut out the petals and leaves from it.

Moving on, after getting the petals and leaves cut out from the plain white cardstock, I proceeded to line them up over my Stamp N Scratch Pad to add pop of colors to them using a few ink blending brushes and Detail Blending Brushes to ink up their centers. The hues used to ink them up were Cotton Candy Ink, Fresh Pink Ink, and Orchid Ink for the petals + Cactus Ink and Forest Ink for the leaves. Having that being said, as soon as I had finished adding the pops of colors to them, I went ahead to put together the 3-Dimensional flower and then, I created a cluster using the leaves along with a gold die-cutting greenery which I’ve had created using the large die including in Holiday Greenery. Lastly, I went ahead to mount the 3D floral cluster over the right side of the mini gift and then, I finish it off by adding a stamped and gold heat embossing greeting on the lower left side of the gift. A sentiment made using one of the sentiments including in Sending Paper Hugs Stamp.

As for the matching card, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the Posie Perfection Cover Die and then, I ran them through the die-cut machine to cut out the front card panel for the card. Thus, to add dimension, I went ahead to repeat the same step and once I had that done, I adhered both die-cutting panels together and then, I glued down the backing of it to an A2 side folding white card base for a textured white-on-white look.

Soon after that I had the card panel adhered over the card base, I went ahead to put it off to the side, so I could have the die-cutting process started for the flowers and leaves. As, for the flowers and leaves, I used 3D Perfect Posy Dies and same as I did for the previous example, I went ahead to cut them out from plain white cardstock and then, I added pop of colors to the flowers and leaves using the same hues I used before.

Therefore, after I’ve had finished inking up the flowers and leaves, I’ve gone ahead to create a floral cluster with them and then, I’ve got it mounted over the left side of the card (as shown in the image above.) Then, same as the 3D floral cluster, I decided to add extra die-cutting gold greenery using the smaller die including in Holiday Greenery.

Lastly, to create the die-cutting Hugs sentiment, I went ahead to use the hugs die including in Heart N Hugs Die to cut it out from white and gold cardstock to create a gold shadow for it. Then, to complete the hugs sentiment, I used a card sentiment including in Heart N Hugs Stamp. By the way, the stamp set includes the coordinating hugs stamp to stamp over the die-cutting hugs. However, I decided to skip that step for a more subtle look as I already had lot of dimension from the flowers. Also, if you’re into hot foil stamping I would like to mention that this set has Heart N Hugs Foil Plate as well.

Finally, as finishing touches, I went ahead to glue down here and there some Crystal Confetti to the card, and I used Diamond Glitter Cardstock to cut out the flower centers for an extra sparkling look.
