PFS Slim Scallop and Braided Circles┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Thursday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you these 2 “Thank you and Encouragement” slim shaker cards that, I’ve made using Slim Stitched Scallop Circle Die and Slim Braided Circles Die by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump to the step by step ↓

To begin with, I started running through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the largest die from Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set along with a large piece of white cardstock to die-cut the panel for one of the cards. Then, I repeated the same step to die-cut the a second panel but this time instead of using the same die I ran through the largest die from the Slim Stitched Rectangle Die Set.

Once the die-cutting card panels were done, I lined up and temporarily adhere over the diagonal stitched card panel the Slim Stitched Scallop Circle Die to die-cut the scallops or windows if you will. So, after the die and the card panel were line up, I ran them through the die-cutting machine.

Therefore, after finishing with the die-cutting, I removed the positive pieces from the scallops and I placed facing down on my desk the card panel so, I could adhere down the acetate. To adhere the acetate I used 1/8’’inch double-sided tape then, after the acetate was adhered down to the backing of the card panel, I adhered skinny pieces of foam mounting tape to raise the dimension so, the shaker bits could have movement.

Lastly, to finish the shaker panel, I added inside of each of the scallops Crystal Mix (sequins) then, I peeled off the backing of the foam mounting tape, and I adhered down a watercolor patterned with foil accents that I previously trimmed down from a 12 X 12 patterned paper sheet. The dimension for the patterned card panel was W 3-3/8’’ X H 8-1/2’’ (in case you wonder)

At this point, I was done with the shaker panel so, I flipped it over and I adhered it down with double-sided tape to a H 9.0’’ X W 4.0’’ inches white card base. Finally, to finish the card off, I mounted a sentiment which I’ve previously stamped on a white cardstock piece with Detail Black Ink and fussy cut it out with sharp scissors. As embellishments, I glued down with liquid glue 3 floral clusters that I created with the die-cutting flowers and leaves that, I had stamp in various color inks before…I’ve got the die-cutting for the panels started. Also, I used their coordinated dies to die-cut them out from the cardstock. By the way, I used Lovely Blossoms Stamp and Lovely Blossoms Die sets for the flowers. As for the inks, I used the following colors; Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Ballet Slipper, Ocean Breeze, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll and Olive. Then, Scripted Bold Sentiments Stamp Set 1 for the sentiment.

Basically, both cards are very similar so, to create the second shaker card, I followed the same steps as the first example. However, to make a difference between each of them, not only I used 2 different stitched dies to add the details on the edges of the card panel, but I also used the Slim Braided Circles Die to make the shaker windows.

Besides, instead of making a portrait design, I changed it to a landscape. With that said, I also change the position of the flower cluster but overall, the shaker panel itself was layered in the same way as the first example.

So therefore, to finish this card off, I mounted with a large skinny piece of foam mounting tape on the center of the card a sentiment, which I had previously stamp with black ink on white cardstock.
