PFS-Lush Vines, Sending Love & Hugs Greeting Cards

Happy, Sunday Friends! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you how I’ve made these 2-Sending Love & Hugs cards using the new; Lush Vines Cling Rubber Background Stamp by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado, let’s jump dive into today’s blog post ↓

For the first example, I placed inside my stamping tool an A2 Leafy color card panel. Next, I lined up the Lush Vines Cling Rubber Background Stamp over it, and once both were line up, I picked up the stamp with my stamping tool door. Then, I added lots of Embossing Powder Tool over the card panel because, I was going to stamp the entire image from the background stamp with Embossing Ink. Right after when the stamping was done, I repeated the same steps to stamp a second card panel however, I made the second stamping on Strathmore Watercolor Card Stock because, I was going to watercolor the vines for a different look.

Just after the stamping, I added Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder to both card panel, and I heat set the powder with my Heat Embossing Gun Tool until was completely melted. Lastly, after the heat embossing, I trimmed the edges off from the green card panel slightly smaller than the card base. Then, I adhered the card panel down with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.
NOTE: I forgot to mention above that I added a little depth to the green panel by inked it up the edges of it with PFS Olive Ink.

Finally, to create the focal point for this example, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the Hugs and Love word dies from the Phrase Builder: Sending Die Set to die-cut their top layers out of gold cardstock and their shadow layer out of translucent vellum. To add dimension, I also die-cut the top layer from each word 3X out white cardstock. Once, I had all die-cutting pieces done, I stacked the top layers to create the dimensional words and I glued down each word with liquid glue to their shadow layer. Then, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Leafy Branch Die to die-cut it 2X out of gold cardstock and 2X out white cardstock. To finish the first card off, I glued down the center part of the white branch on the left side of the card followed by the gold branch which, soon after that, I inlaid back into place with small pieces of foam mounting tape a few gold leaves (as shown above.) This step was just to add dimension. Last but certainly not least, I glued down the dimensional Hugs die-cutting as well as a sending sentiment that I had previously gold heat emboss on a leftover piece of green cardstock.

For the second example, I water-colored the vines with a mix of Mossy-Green hue along with a touch of Brown. Then, I water-colored the berries with a Pinky-Peach hue.

Once the water-coloring-was dry, I trimmed the edges off from the card panel, and I adhered the backing of it with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.

Lastly, I repeated the steps to adhered in place the focal point which had basically the same concept. Nevertheless, I skipped the inlaying pieces from the leaves, and I gold heat embossed the Sending on white cardstock instead of green.

Finally, once both cards were completed, I added Tonic Crystal Glaze to the berries from each of the cards as well as Essentials: Crystals Mix in clear for an extra touch of shine.
