Merry┃Handmade Christmas Wreath

Happy Friday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you a handmade “Christmas Wreath” made with floral wire and an array of greenery die sets. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by measuring over my Crafter's Essential Cutting and Alignment Mat a 12’’ inches piece of Floral Vine Wire. Next, I used my Wire Cutter to cut it out of the roll and then, I went ahead to create a circle with it that measured about 3-3/4’’ inches in its perimeter.

Thus, after I’ve had created the circle, I went ahead to secured it by wrapping around a large piece of garden twine right were the joint met. At the same time, I also used a piece of garden twine to create the hanger piece as, I made this Christmas Wreath with the intention to be an Ornament to hang on a Christmas Tree.

With that said, after I had the wreath base done, I went ahead to set it off to the side while I’ve got the die-cutting started. Therefore, for the die-cutting, I went ahead to line up over a piece of Jade color cardstock the small pine needle die from Pine Boughs Die Set and once I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut about 20 pine needle pieces. Then, I went ahead to line up over a piece of Forest color cardstock the smaller die from Holiday Greenery Die Set and I went ahead to die-cut about 20 die-cutting pieces. And, so on and so forth, I went ahead to line up a combination of different dies from Fall Bouquets | Honey Cuts Set, Stitched Leaves Set to die-cut the other leaves out of Mossy Green, Slate and White color cardstock.

Lastly, after I’ve had finishing the die-cutting for the leaves, I went ahead to set them off to the side while I went ahead to die-cut the Merry word and the Gold Artistic Bow. So, to do that I used Artistic Bows Die Set and Scripty Merry Die. For the Merry word, I went ahead to die-cut it out of white cardstock 4 times and once I had the die-cutting pieces, I went ahead to stack them together and I’ve gotten the dimensional die-cutting word heat emboss using Sparkling Sand Embossing Glitter from WOW! Trio Dockside. And, for the Artist Bow, I used one of the dies from the set to die-cut it out of Gold cardstock.

Finally, to assemble the Christmas Wreath, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue each leaf interchanging their order to form a full wreath and once I had that done, I went ahead to get glue down with liquid glue in the middle of the Christmas Wreath the glittery Merry die-cutting word. Then, to finish the wreath off, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue the Artistic Bow as well as some of the green jewels from my Essentials: Jewel Mix adding that way an extra touch of shine! With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Christmas Wreath” ornament. As always, I appreciate the time that takes you to read my blog posts.
