I don’t know if you follow Simon Says Stamp releases but, if you do… you’re going to be familiar with the Love and Valentine Word Mix 2 stamp set as, Simon Says Stamp has been releasing set with a group of stamps like this since their Believe in You release back in July. You can check the first stamp set by clicking → HERE as, I’d like to think that, the Love and Valentine Word Mix 2 would have a coordinate die on this release. If there is a coordinated die, I’d recommend in getting it too as, this is truly a beautiful set! With that being said, let’s get to the cards.

To make these cards, I started by stamping 2X on a large piece of white card stock with Pinkfresh Studio Inks in pastel colors, most likely each of the flowers from the Bold Flowers Stamp Set as well as, the leaves and the greenery included in the stamp set.

Right after the stamping, I set the stamping aside to let the inks dry for a few minutes. In the meantime, I prepared as usual; 2 A2 top folding white card bases and 2 white card panel which, I trimmed off the edges leaving them a bit smaller than the card bases for a frame border. Lastly, I foam mounted the card panels to the card bases and I set them aside so, I could make the die-cuttings by running through the die-cutting machine the stamped images along with the Bold Flowers Dies Set.

Once, all die-cuttings were done, I created a floral cluster for each card then, I adhered each of them to each card base, some of the flowers were adhered with liquid glue and, some were adhered with foam mounting tape for dimension. You can see the dimension specially on the right side in the picture above. Lastly, I created the focal point of the cards which in this case were the sentiment from the new; Love and Valentine Word Mix 2 stamp set. So, to create the sentiments, I positioned on my stamping tool a white card panel larger than the stamp image. Then, I positioned one of the 2 groups of sentiments included in the set over the card panel. Then, I picked with the stamping tool door the stamp and, I treated the card panel with Embossing Powder Tool. Soon after that, I stamped the group of sentiment with Embossing Ink and, I gold heat embossed the whole stamping with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder ( I’d like to mention that, I repeated the same steps to gold heat embossing the second group from the set as, I was planning on using both sentiments in the circle shape for today’s cards) Finally, after the heat embossing, I used one of the Nested Circle Dies which by the way, worked perfectly to die-cut the sentiments in the circle shapes from each group. To finish the cards off, I foam mounted right in the center of each card the sentiments as you can see in the picture above. As, a finishing touch, I adhered here and there a few Unicorn Tears Jewels to one of the cards and, Assorted Moonshine Sequins to the other for a shiny/ sparkly touch! So, that’s all for today friends, I hope that these cards featuring the new; SSS Shimmer Snowflake Die inspire you to give them a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts.
