Let's Party Greeting Cards

Let’s Party Greeting Cards

Happy Saturday, Crafters! On today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you how, I’ve made these two quick Birthday greetings cards featuring the new; Large Birthday Stamp and Let's Party Stamp with Matching Dies sets by Technique Tuesday. So… without further ado, please keep on reading below ↓

To begin with, I trimmed slightly smaller than the card base a watercolor pattern sheet from the Just a Little Lovely 6X6 Paper Pad. Next, I adhered the backing of the patterned card panel with foam mounting tape to a top folding white card base.

Once, the card base was done I set it aside while, I created the focal point for the card. So, I treated with Embossing Powder Tool a large piece of white card stock. Next, I stamped the largest Happy Birthday sentiments from the Large Birthday Stamp with Embossing Ink and I gold heat embossed it with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder. Right after the heat embossing, I ran through the die-cut machine the heat embossed image along with the largest die from the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies set to die-cut the tag out of the white card stock. Lastly, I adhered the backing of the tag with foam mounting tape to the card base and to finished it off, I covered the inside of the HAPPY first with; Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen the with Glossy Accent for a shimmering glossy look.

For the second card, I created my own background by repeatedly stamping the balloon stamp image from the Let's Party Stamp with Matching Dies. So, to begin with I started by treating a white card panel with Embossing Powder Tool. Next, I placed the balloon stamp on an acrylic block, and I stamped with embossing ink the images all over until the card panel was covered. Right after the stamping, I sprinkled Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder and I heat set it with the Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted.

Once, the heat embossing was done I trimmed the card panel slightly smaller as usual and I adhered the backing of it with foam mounting tape to a top folding white card base. Right after that, I set the card base aside while I created the focal point of the card. So, instead of coloring the little gifts and party hat, I decided to stamp and gold heat embossed the images from the Let's Party Stamp with Matching Dies over the leftover piece of patterned paper from the previous card yep, simple as that! So, after the heat embossing, I ran the gold embossed images along with their coordinated dies through the die-cut machine to cut them out of the patterned paper. Soon after the die-cutting, I stamped and gold heat embossed on a piece of white card stock one of the sentiments from the Large Birthday Stamp which, I trimmed and adhered to a gold card stock piece for a little gold frame. Lastly, I positioned over the card base the elements and, the sentiment to figure out their placement so, as soon as I was happy with the placement, I adhered the backing of the gifts with liquid glue then, the party hat and sentiment with foam mounting tape to add a bit of dimension. To finish the card off, I completely covered the party hat and gifts with shimmer and, to add even more dimension I added glossy accent to; the ribbon on the tall gift, to the stripes on the small gift and last but certainly not least, to the top and bottom on the party hat.

So, that’s all for today friends, I hope these cards inspire you to give these designs a try! As you can see as a finishing touch, I decided to add a combination of sequins and crystal to the card for a touch sparkle.
