To begin with, I started by treating two Strathmore Bristol Smooth card panels with Embossing Powder Tool. Next, I used a stamping tool to stamp the entire image from the Outline Christmas Bulbs Background Stamp on each of the card panels with Embossing Ink. Soon after the stamping, I gold heat embossed one with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and the other with Picnic Basket Embossing Glitter from the new Sweet Treats Embossing Glitter Set.

Right after the heat embossing, I taped down both card panels with masking tape to a clipboard because, I was going to water color the light bulbs with my Genuine Crafts Watercolor Brush Pens in Pink and Yellow tones. For the metal part, I used QoR Gold Watercolor for a very metallic/sparkly gold look.

Once, I was done with the water coloring I set the card panels aside to dry. In the meanwhile, I gold heat embossed in a piece of white card stock 2X a combination of sentiments from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 Stamp Set. Then, after the heat embossing, I trimmed and adhered the backing of them to a piece of gold card stock adding that way a gold frame as you can see in the picture above.

Lastly, I trimmed slightly smaller the card panels which, by that time were already dry. So, I adhered the backing of each of them with foam mounting tape to, two top folding white card bases that I had previously cut, scored and fold. To finish the cards off, I adhered the backing of the sentiments with foam mounting tape to add dimension on the top side of the cards. As, a finishing touch I, adhered some Spring Flowers Sequins and, I added Glossy Accent to the metal parts of each light bulbs as, well as the high lights of each of them for a shiny dimensional look. With that being said, that’s all for today friends, I hope that these Cheerful and Joy Christmas cards inspire you to give them, and the “Emboss Resist” challenge a try!
