In The Meadows┃Shaker Inspiration Cards

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you three fun “Shaker” floral inspiration cards made using floral die cut shapes created out of In the Meadows Washi Tape and In the Meadows Die from the latest December-2021 Stamp, Dies, Stencil & Hot Foil Release by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this beautiful set, I used Essentials: Shaker Heart Die Set and Slim Stitched Scallop Circle Die to create the shaker windows for the slimline and square cards. Although, the washi tape has its coordinating stamp set which is In the Meadows Stamp Set and great to make thank you cards, I decided to use Always Uplifting Stamp Set to make an encouragement card set instead. Last but not least, I used Metallic Pearls: Sparkling Champagne to embellish each card + Crushed Glass with Gold Foil Leaf Flakes as my shaker bits. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To begin with, I started off by making a slimline-shaker card, so to do that, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the die including in Slim Stitched Scallop Circle Die and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, to add the stitching details and to cut out the scalloped circles to use them as the shaker windows.

Next, right after that I’ve had finished cutting the slimline card panel, I went ahead to flip it over so I could get a piece of acetate adhered to its back side. Therefore, after I had finished adding the piece of acetate to the back of it, I went ahead to add pieces of craft foam adhesive to raise dimension and then, I added to each scalloped circle a combination of Crushed Glass with Gold Foil Leaf Flakes to use them as my shaker bits. Moving on, as soon as I had finished adding the shaker bits to them, I went ahead to peel off the backing from the craft adhesive and then, I’ve got adhered the backing of the slimline panel to a slimline white card base.

Thus, as soon as I’ve finished assembling the slimline-shaker card base, I’ve gone ahead to set it off to the side while I went ahead to create the floral die cut shapes using In the Meadows Washi Tape and In the Meadows Die. Having that said, this step was definitely the easiest as all I did was to unroll the washi roll, tape it down over a large piece of white cardstock and die-cut out the images from the washi its coordinating die in the same way, as I’ve had done it before with all Pinkfresh Studio Washi-tape Rolls. So, as soon as I had that done, I went ahead to embellish the card using the floral die cut shapes (as shown in the image above.) Lastly, as soon as I had finished getting the card embellished with the floral die cut shapes, I’ve gone ahead to add the card sentiment. As, for the card sentiment I used one of the card sentiments from Always Uplifting Stamp Set.

Moving on, for the second example, I created a square shaker card, so to do that, first I went ahead to line up over a piece of white cardstock the larger die including Essentials: Stitched Squares Die Set. And, at the same time, I went ahead as well to line up inside the square die the larger die including in Essentials: Shaker Heart Die Set, and then I ran them through the die cut machine to add the stitching details and to cut out the square panel and heart shape in the center of it.

Second, after finishing the die-cutting process, I went ahead to flip the square panel over to create the shaker window over the heart. So, I added a piece of acetate to the backing of it and then, I went ahead to turn it over so I could place it inside my MISTI Stamping Tool to get the card sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing over the right side of the acetate using one of the sentiments including in Always Uplifting Stamp Set. Right after I had finished adding the card sentiment over the acetate, I went ahead to flip over the card panel once again to add craft foam adhesive to its back raising that way some dimension to it. And, once I had that done, I added the shaker bits using the same combination I used for the previous example. Last but not least, I’ve got adhered the backing of the square card panel to a square white card base and then, I proceeded to get the card embellishment completed.

As for the card embellishments, I used more of the floral die-cut shapes that I had previously cut out of the washi tape to create a floral cluster on one side of the shaker heart. Also, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down some of the Metallic Pearls: Sparkling Champagne to add even more sparkle to the card.

For the last example, I skipped the shaker process by doing just a standard A2 size card with the last and large floral die cut shape I had left from all.

Therefore, to make this card, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the Essentials: Stitches Die and then, I went ahead to run it through the die cut machine to cut out the panel out of the white cardstock and to add the textured and stitched details to it. Next, after finishing the die-cutting process, I went ahead to get adhered the backing of the card panel to an A2 size top folding white card base.

Lastly, I went ahead to get the floral die cut shape mounted with the leaves facing up over the lower right corner of the card. Then, I went ahead to get the card sentiment stamped and gold heat embossing over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments including in the same stamp set I used for the previous examples. A card sentiment, which I’ve had previously fussy cut out from the white cardstock using a small pair of scissors and mounted over the upper left corner of the card. And, finally to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some pearls to add an extra pop of shine to the card.

And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made these three fun “Shaker” floral inspiration cards using floral die cut shapes created out of In the Meadows Washi Tape and In the Meadows Die from the latest December-2021 Stamp, Dies, Stencil & Hot Foil Release by Pinkfresh Studio.
