With that said, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made these cards using the just released; Garden Lattice Cover Plate-Base, Garden Lattice Cover Plate-Top and Tropical Bouquets Die Set

To begin with, I started by creating the die-cut pieces so, to do that I lined up each die from the Tropical Bouquets Die Set over a large piece of Strathmore Smooth Bristol Paper and I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Once, I’ve had enough tropical die- cut pieces to embellish both cards, I water-colored them in with a mix of soft Green, Pink, Orange, Yellow and Turquoise hues that I created using one of my watercolor palettes. Therefore, after I had watercolor each tropical flower and leaf, I set them aside to dry and I moved on to create the backgrounds for the cards.

So, for the backgrounds I lined up the Garden Lattice Cover Plate-Base over Fog Gray Cardstock and I ran them through the die cut machine 2X to create the detailed base for the background. Then, I lined up the Garden Lattice Cover Plate-Top over white cardstock, and I ran them through the die-cut machine 2X to create the top layer for the detailed background. Once, the die-cutting background panel were finish, I adhered with liquid glue the top layer to the base, and then I carefully adhered the backing of each layered background to 2- A2 size top folding white card bases.

That said, after the leaves and flowers were completely dry, and the card panels were onto place I started the assembling for the cards.

For the example in the image above, I used the taller vase included in the die set so, to create dimension I adhered 4 white die-cutting vases and the one that I had watercolor in turquoise so therefore, after the vase was onto place, I created a cluster by adhering some of the flowers and leaves with liquid glue while others with square dimensional adhesives to create dimension.

So, after the dimensional cluster was adhered to the vase, I finish the card off by adhering the Because die cut word that I created using the Because Die and last but not least, I mounted the sub-sentiment which I had stamped with black ink on a piece of white cardstock. By the way the sub-sentiment is part of the Because Stamp Set.

Although, I did not mentioning in the images above how I assembled the first card, it was quite simple, as basically both bouquets are quite similar except than the first vase is rounded and I created a fuller floral cluster and I adhered a dainty sentiment. Other than that, I kept each card quite simple by gluing down with liquid glue some crystal sequins to add a touch of shine. By the way the sentiment the first example is part of the Paradise Blooms Stamp and Paradise Blooms Die sets.
