Days of Splendor Collection┃Inspiration Card & Bookmark

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! On today’s blog I’d like to share with this set of “Autumn/Fall ” card and matching tag made using elements from the wonderful Days of Splendor Collection by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I’ve made them ↓

To begin with, I started by selecting one of the patterned papers from the Days of Splendor paper pad so therefore, once I’ve had it selected I’ve gone ahead to lined up over the patterned paper sheet the largest die from the Ornate Banner Die Set and, once I had them line up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to create the card pane panel for the card.

Next, after I’ve had finished die-cutting the large tag, I’ve gone ahead to line up over right in the center of it the Mega Alphabet F Die as I wanted to add a inlay/ghost and very dimensional look to the card.

Moving on, after I’ve the die-cutting process done, I’ve gone ahead to adhere down with double-sided tape the large tag to an A2 top folding white card base. Thus, after I’ve had the card base, I started the assembling so to do that, I inlaid back into its place the Mega F letter using craft foam to add dimension. Then, I’ve gone ahead to select a few floral elements from the Days of Splendor Ephemera Pack and Days of Splendor Floral Ephemera Pack to create a small floral cluster thus, after I’ve had the selected I’ve gone ahead to glue it down (as shown in the image above) And, once I’ve had the floral cluster glued I’ve gone ahead to finish the embellishment for the card by gluing down a fabric bow on the upper left corner of the card and by mounting a sentiment to complement the Mega F focal point. By the way, the fabric bow is included in the Days of Splendor Fabric Bow Pack and the sentiment I’ve trimmed it down from one of the patterned paper sheets.

For the matching bookmark/mini slimline card, I’ve gone ahead to trim the leftover piece from the patterned paper to W 1-3/4’’ X H 5-3/4’’ inches.

So therefore, after I’ve done trimming the patterned paper, I’ve gone ahead to get it adhere with double-sided tape to a mini slimline white card base which, I’ve created by gluing down 2 pieces of white cardstock which 1 measured W 2.0’’ X H 6.0’’ inches and 1 W 2.0’’ X H 6-1/4’’ inches. I’ve added an extra 1/4 on an inch to allow me to create a fold and hinge for the mini slimline card could open and close. With that said after I’ve had created the card base, I’ve gone ahead to embellished (as shown in the image above) using once again elements from the collection.

Finally, to finish the inspiration set, I’ve gone ahead to adhered here and there a selection of coordinated enamel dots which are also part of the collection. And, as a finishing touch, I’ve had also gone ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue a few blue jewels from the Essentials: Jewel Mix to add an extra sparkly touch. With that being said, I hope you have enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this set of “Autumn/Fall ” card and matching tag using the Days Of Splendor Collection by Pinkfresh Studio.
