Birthday Balloon Shaped┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Tuesday, Friends! In today’s blog, I’d like to share with you an inspirational set of birthday-shaped balloon cards made with a “Colorful, Glimmering & Shaker” look using the following stamps and dies sets; Balloon Birthday Die, You’re Invited Stamp, You’re Invited Die, Popper Die, Confetti Dots Hot Foil, and 1/8 Quick Strips Die by The Stamp Market. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started by getting the die-cutting steps done for the balloons. To do that, I used the balloon die included in Balloon Birthday Die set to die-cut the balloon’s solid shape and its balloon frame out of Hammermill Cardstock using the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next, I used the smaller die to cut out the bow from gold cardstock, and lastly, I used the large die included in the You’re Invited Die set to cut out the sentiment from different warm cardstock hues.

After completing the die-cutting steps, I used the Confetti Dots Hot Foil alongside the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold to add the glimmering confetti background to the balloon. Soon after I had finished adding the confetti effect to the balloon, I layered over a few balloon frames to make it dimensional and afterward, I got glued down the backing of the dimensional balloon frame to the solid balloon shape.

After getting the balloon assembled, I set it aside, and then I used the You’re Invited Stamp to get the sentiment stamped over white cardstock using the MISTI Stamp Tool, Magic Powder Bag, and Embossing Ink. Next, after getting the stamping done, I used Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded and Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool to get the sentiment heat embossing, too. Lastly, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the sentiment from the white cardstock piece. Then I proceeded to layer over the colorful and dimensional balloon’s sentiment and then get it glued down over the balloon’s frame, as shown in the image above.

Lastly, I added the gold ribbon bow, and to add a little extra decoration, I used the 1/8 Quick Strips Die to create paper ribbons. By the way, I used the same cardstock hues for the paper ribbon.

Moving on, for the second example, I created a shaker balloon. To do that, I repeated the same steps to die-cut the balloon shape base and the frame. Next, I used one of the dies included in the Popper Die to die-cut some confetti out of the same cardstock hues.

Followed by that, I used the dies included in the balloon die to die-cut the happy birthday sentiment out of gold cardstock.

Lastly, I added texture to another die-cutting white balloon using the hot foil plate used in the first example. Then, I got the shaker balloon assembled using acetate and the die-cut confetti. Nevertheless, I got the sentiment glued down over the shaker window. And, as a finishing touch, I added a single paper ribbon effect.

For the last example, I used the FREEBIE die offered with a $100 purchase before taxes + shipping to create the Happy Birthday sentiment with the same color effect and the addition of a gold accent.

As for the balloon itself, I did the same steps as the previous examples to add dimension and texture.

Also, I added a paper ribbon effect. By the way, to create the curling effect on the ribbon, I used the Teflon pencil form folder included in Craft Treat Teflon Bone Folder set.

Other than that, I skipped adding any extra embellishment to the balloons. However, I would like to mention that I added extra balloon die-cutting solid shapes to their backs to make each of them actual balloon shaped-cards.

And with that said, friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this inspirational set of birthday-shaped balloon cards with a “Colorful, Glimmering & Shaker” look using stamps, dies, and more by The Stamp Market.
