Technique Tuesday June Release Blog Hop

Hello there! Welcome to the Technique Tuesday June Release Blog Hop. On today’s blog I’ll be sharing be with you how I made these two floral greeting cards featuring the new Green House Society Blooming Branches Stamp & Blooming Branches Crafting Dies . That being said, keep on reading the tutorial. ↓

For the first card I repeatedly stamped the floral image from the stamp set with black ink in a white card panel, then I clear heat embossed the whole stamped background by cover it with clear embossing powder, and melting it with the heat tool. Once the clear embossing was melted I colored every single of the floral clusters with a combination of the following Copic alcohol markers Pinks (RV00, RV02, RV04) Greens (YG03,YG05) Browns (E25, E57) Yellow (YR23) Right after the coloring, I trimmed the edges of the card panel and I adhered the backed of it to an A2 size top folding white card base with double sided tape. As, for the sentiment I ran through the die-cutting machine one of the smaller label from the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies to die-cut it out of white cardstock. After die-cutting the label I stamped, and clear embossed two of the sentiments from the same stamp set, and I adhered the label to the card with foam mounting tape.

For the second card, I white on white embossed the card panel. Once, the white embossing was done I trimmed the edges of the card panel and I adhered the backed of it to an A2 top folding white card base with double sided tape. For the focal point of the card, I stamped the floral cluster from the stamp set in a piece of white cardstock, and I clear embossed it. To color the floral image I used exactly the same combination of Copic alcohol markers. Once the coloring was done, I ran through the die-cutting machine the images along with its coordinated die to die-cut it out of the white cardstock. In the meantime I also ran through the die-cutting machine a piece of black cardstock, along the Hello die, and a piece of white cardstock to die-cut the largest label from the Essential Stitched Label Dies (by the way the Hello die is part of the Blooming Branches crafting dies).
Lastly, to finish the card off I adhered the largest label to the card panel with double sided tape. Then I adhered the floral piece to it with foam mounting tape to add dimension, and last but not least I adhered the hello on the bottom part of the label.

Finally, to finish both cards off I added a little pink heart to one of the labels as you can see in the pictures. Also, I added a few highlights to flowers and leaves by using a white gel pen. And, as a finishing touch I added glossy accent to the center of the flowers, buds, and the hello die-cutting as well as a few clear shine sequins for a glossy & sparkly look.
